Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOne of the rooms I stayed in was very small and tight when walking around with large double bed in it as I kept hurting my leg each time passed by the bed.
The hotel was an old style look and well decorated with antiques which was very appealing to me and I had great experience with all staff who were extremely helpful and the location was very good very providing good access to my shops and restaurants and Sunday night market.

Sri LankaThey have changed our towels and toiletries even without us hanging the make my room sign. We did not leave any valuables in the room. Hence it was okay. But that is not a good thing that we experienced.
We liked the room and the facilities. The bed was comfy. We felt very safe. The staff we were friendly and helpful. You get a discount at the cafe for breakfast.

United KingdomGreat central location. Many English Channels on T.V. and spacious clean room with comfortable bed. Public areas stylish and oozing character. We enjoyed our stay during a period when we were unwell so spent more time in room than usual. Phuket Town was interesting and worth a few days visit with large modern shopping mall on edge of town within easy walk. We were a little disappointed that no breakfast was included but there was a cafe for public to buy items.

United KingdomFrom check-in to check-out the staff were brilliant, we were welcomed with some complementry drinks and snacks as the staff took care of bags check in etc and we got to realx in the hotel lobby. We had planned to be in Phuket Old Town for the Sunday night Markets and couldn't have picked a better place to stay, the Memory is located right in the center of the Markets. The hotel itself is beautiful and rich in history, the rooms are decorated really nice and comfortable. Would definitely recommend a stay @ The Memory for anyone visiting the Old Town 👌

AustraliaWe loved our 3 nights here! The bed was comfy, the aircon a lovely reprieve from walking around the city in the heat and the hotel was perfectly located in the heart of old town. I loved the Chinese colonial decor and vibe, and sitting in the internal pavilions with a cool drink made me feel like I’d been whisked back to the 1920s! (With WiFi 🙃)

United KingdomWe arrived late to the hotel but we did let the staff know in advance and they said there would be no problem. This hotel is amazing and possibly the best place I’ve stayed, I am a big fan of the Beach film so I’m slightly biased but every member of staff down to the cleaning lady were so helpful and courteous. The way the hotel has been restored is very classy right down to the period music playing in the back ground. When you go to Phuket skip the beaches and come here, you will not be disappointed. I can’t wait to come back and wish I’d have booked an extra night.

CanadaWe absolutely loved this hotel and the incredible staff that work there. Penny, Nathan, and the talented man who makes the most beautiful cappuccino (I'm sorry I am forgetting your name)—Richard, Alan—you all made our stay unforgettable. The care and love they show in their beautiful clothes, customer service, and kindness are remarkable. They all speak incredible English and were happy to help. Upon check-in, you are greeted with a cold drink in a beautiful room to complete the check-in process. The entire hotel feels like stepping back in time. The décor is elegantly done and whisks you back to the 1920s. Just past the lobby is a bar area with complimentary cookies, coffee, water, and rose water available throughout the day. Walking up the staircase to the second floor, you are welcomed by open-air sitting areas and beautiful flowers. It is truly stunning and perfect for social media pictures. Our room was also beautifully decorated. The bed was soft (Thai mattresses can be rather hard), the AC was cold, and the shower was hot. In the room, there were complimentary drinks in the fridge, as well as two bottles of water replenished daily. Coffee, tea, and a kettle were also provided. Bedside tables had electrical outlets, each bed had two pillows, and blackout curtains ensured a restful sleep. You cannot hear your neighbors. The café downstairs serves amazing coffee, croissants, and a yogurt granola bowl for breakfast. At night, I enjoyed wine and charcuterie while watching people walk by and chatting with Penny or Nathan. I stayed here with my 10-year-old son, and they always offered him treats or a special drink, which was so kind. We did not want to leave. I want to express my gratitude to the entire staff. I hope we get to see you all again. Thank you! 🙏🫶🪷
