Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyNothing!
My husband and I booked The On On for an "in transit" trip back to Germany. We were So delighted at this beautiful, and dare I say, "poetic" hotel, that it actually took our mind off of our upcoming emergency trip home. It is so absolutely different and unusual. Like they say about a beautiful person, "she/he doesn't take a bad photo" - because for sure, you will spend quite a bit of time photographing this beauty. The staff is so polite, friendly and helpful. They assisted us in booking last minute flights to Bangkok and Frankfurt. The room as well as the the hotel are beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you need. TV hot water kettle, drinks, coffee and tea and cute bath products. The beds are fantastic too. So comfy. Don't hesitate to book this wonderful place, it's really a feast for the senses. Thank you to everyone at The On On!

South AfricaThe location is perfect for exploring Old Town, one of my favorite places in Phuket. The building and décor is absolutely stunning- it all looks like something from a movie. The rooms are well fitted and comfortable. The staff were helpful in organizing a lift to the airport. Our favorite place to stay in Phuket by far!

BrazilOur room was right by the lobby, didn't make the night difficult as we are heavy sleepers, but someone else could be bothered.
Cute hotel with charming rooms and structures. It became famous as Leonardo DiCaprio appeared in the film The Beach. It was renovated in 2012 and the hotel is looking nice. They are welcoming and although do not have breakfast, serve nice tea, coffee and cookies. We only stayed one night, but we some lots of people dropping by to take a pic on this place. Awesome location by the old town. Many restaurants, iconic places to go to. Easy to go the pier as well.

PolandBefore arrival I ordered hotel taxi for our pickup from Phuket airport for 1500B, but nobody aarrived. We took a regular minivan for 1100B and saved money but not time. Shame for such a hotel with excellent reviews. Breakfast - I believe that there is enough space to organize it. Anyway we went to a nearby restaurant and had a good breakfast.
Excellent location in the heart of Phuket Town. Historic hotel remembering "The Beach" with Leonardo di Caprio. Nice room with a small balcony without view. Bathroom OK. Nice patio.

United KingdomRoom was very clean, just a bit dusty around the edges which is expected in such an old building. The air conditioning was a little tired.
Staying at the ‘On-On is like a step back in time, wonderful old building with lots of history, a really memorable stay. Ideal location for exploring Phuket Old Town. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby for breakfast and the hotel does provide various seating areas and a lounge with refreshments and local Thailand snacks.
