Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainBasic bungalow, the bed was really not comfortable ... and apart access to a pool, and a laundry service, the place offers strictly nothing.
Bungalow apart from the island center Disneyland-like buzz, so we slept quietly. We liked the access to the pool of the neighboring resort, which offers a stunning view over Ton Sai Bay. We also like the terrace of the bungalow and actually had the company of an old lazy-but-cute cat there for the whole stay.

Saudi ArabiaTo get to the room (I booked one inside the purple building in the photos) there are about 40 steps to climb and there is no flat (paved) path to drag your hand luggage. The sea view is not from the bedroom window but only from the balcony (you have to go out and turn your head to the right to barely see it). The bathroom has no electrical outlet, so to use an electric razor or hair dryer you have to go to the bedroom (where there is no mirror). The lamp near the right side of the bed had exposed electrical wires in an open hole in the wall. The bathroom towels were very old and hard. The property offered to pick me up at the pier but they didn't show up regardless my emails, phone texts, and tentative calls.
The location is 10 minutes away from the town center and the main pier. Also it was quiet at night (early February 2025). This place is not far from the 3 viewpoints up on the hills.

United KingdomRoom was very dark and dingy On a hill so could be problematic for less able bodied. Needed more sunbeds and shade by pool. Philhi itself. Just so touristy, busy, spoilt. Like Ibiza. Party island. Beautiful beaches spoilt. Too many people. Too many boats too much noise.
It was out of the general chaos of Philhi so nice and quiet. Staff helpful with a few issues. Good air con. Good tea and coffee. Mosquito coil on our balcony at night. Balcony good. Nice swimming pool

New ZealandThe light wasn't working at first then it started working. The walls are thin. Some buildings in the hotel complex have a questionable structure. However this building looks sturdy.
It's quiet, there is a swimming pool next door and it's relatively comfortable

United KingdomIt was a steep walk to the room which was made a bit harder after a night out in phi phi
The property is about a 5 minute walk from where all the action is on phi phi but can see the good side as you as far enough away from the noise.

CanadaThis hotel is basically on the side of a small mountain with stairs or an uphill climb everywhere.
The pool area was beautiful. Our hut was older but clean. Located in the middle of the town so you can go either way to restaurants and beaches. Staff were very nice.

United KingdomLovely helpful staff. We were met by one of their staff and they took our luggage to the hotel in a trolley and took us through the main area to the hotel by foot (no cars are allowed on the island). Nice room, good size. Shared balcony but you had your own table and chairs. Good laundry service. Out of the main area but nice and quiet. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the main area.

PortugalIt’s a little far from the center especially if you are carrying bags, and you have to carry them all up the stairs (which the guy in the reception was very helpful when we arrived to carry it for us) and the ovation on google is a bit hard to find
The room was very comfortable, the bed was nice, shower was also good, and there was space in the room. Staff was extremely helpful even carried our bags up the concrete stairs and gave us water.

clean room, location inbetween both beaches, I think the value for money is good- it's cheaper than lots on Phi Phi. Absolutely no bugs in our room the entire time. Pool views were beautiful

United KingdomThe way to the pool, was down a bumpy path, over a high ‘curb’ kinda thing & past resident houses to get to! Didn’t feel part of the resort.
Amazing views! Away from the main loud part of Phi Phi. Great shower power, air con, great pool and big bed.

United KingdomAir conditioning wasn’t great. And there was a huge miscommunication when we extended our stay where they tried to charge me an extra 500 Baht. They also showed me a fake booking.com booking that was under my name but I hadn’t booked. It was sorted and I didn’t have to pay that amount but it’s something to keep in mind.
Pool was lovely- 5 min walk to get too but totally doable. Room had nice decor and a cute balcony. Laundry service was good price, to a high standard and quick. Area of the island was very quite and we had no trouble getting any sleep
