Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaPathetic breakfast. They say it id from 7.30-10am but at 9.20am when one goes, other than an assortment of cakes, nothing for a vegetarian to eat. No fruits, no tomatoes, no butter, no cheese and no eggs either. Sad really.
Nice rooms and staff spoke English

I stayed in the hotel section. It is very basic, but clean and with adequate air conditioning. The included breakfast was amazing, and the setting was wonderful, in a fancy traditional looking public space in a mansion. Excellent value!

ItalyThe only negative thing was that they were having problems with credit cards, so cash was the only payment accepted. For Europeans, used to pay with cards, it can be a problem.
Rooms were huge and quite clean (AC worked perfectly). The staff was always ready to help (one of the guys at the reception even guided me to a mall where I could get some local currency). I do not agree with those who criticize the breakfast as for being in an hostel I think it was quite varied and tasty. Luggage deposit worked perfectly too. Definitely recommended.

MalaysiaStaff doesn‘t really speak English, and the fact that there is no elevator can be difficult for people with luggage. Breakfast option was extremely sad - I wish healthier and better option are there. Location was a bit hidden , so you will need to follow google map.
Staff is pretty helpful when there are issues - e.g. my bathroom lamp is not working and I need to book a taxi to Chorbogh.

BangladeshThere is no signboard or anything outside the hotel building or at the entrance for finding the hotel easily. I felt their services were not so good as the shower in the bathroom was not working properly. We informed the hotel desk twice. Although they said they would be sending someone to fix it, they didn't fix it during our two days stay. At the time of check out we didn't even find anyone to handover the room key. The hotel doesn't serve bottled water in the rooms. We had to drink tap water. Their complementary breakfast was very basic. There were sausages, breads, waffers and boiled eggs. The menu was same for both days of our staying there. As it's kind of a guesthouse there was no lift for the upper floors. If you have big and heavy luggage with you, it could be a pain to carry those during check out. The property doesn't accept cards and there was no ATM in a distance of 15 minutes of walking.
The best thing for foreign travelers in this hotel is, the people in the reception desk and few other staff can speak some English which is a great help in visiting countries like Tajikistan. The ambience and atmosphere inside the hotel was wonderful. The wooden floors, the lights and the wooden stairs gave it an aesthetic vibe. Our room on the first floor was quite large. The bathroom was also big. But like other hotels in this region the toilet didn't have a muslim shower.

AustraliaBreakfast was basic and repetitive. While we were there, there was power outage. It was very cold without the aircon. No toiletries.
Loved the staff and cleanliness of the place. Isroel and the cleaning ladies are wonderful. Would recommend them again. It's a new building.

AustraliaThe walls were a bit thin. I could often hear noise from other rooms or from the reception area downstairs. Breakfast was totally local style...it would have been nice to have something a bit international, such as milk for the coffee.
A nice little hostel. I stayed in the new building, which was very comfortable.

AustraliaSometimes no water in the middle of showers. No clean public toilet in the building after you checked out.
The location is convenient. The design and decoration of the building is charming. Hot water, coffee and tea are available at all times. Breakfast is not as bad as previous comments. Buffet style to get your bread, ham, cheese, yogurt, boiled egg, veggies, biscuits and cakes . This is good enough!

Bosnia and HerzegovinaBreakfast is very poor, it looks just like a catchy information that it is included, but really it is not anything special. They have washed my laundry but it was not smelling good at all, and charged 6$. Anyway, location is great and there a is a big market nearby. Internet is not that good, but travelling through other neighbour countries it just seems it is a problem for all of this region.

it is called „hostel“ but it is in fact more a hotel. in comparison to other „real hostels“ it is really quiet. people can sit in a large room in the lobby but i never experienced loud parties. nice and friendly. rooms are really ok and best price what i could find for a single room!!!! there is even a small kind of a fitness room in the cellar.
