Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThis was my second stay at Nomads, so I'm not going to repeat myself endlessly. It's a comfortable, reasonably-priced place with a variety of room types and cheerful, helpful staff who mostly speak very good English. It is also a fairly social place, the way hostels always used to be but often are not these days. The iftar dinners were a pleasure, but I don't know how this translates during non-ramadan times. If I were determined to find fault it might lie in the ~20 minute walk to the train station or medina, but that meant the streets were calm and quiet, a plus in my mind. Convenience stores are nearby on the busier streets, major grocery stores and restaurants a bit further. Bolt app is the go-to for taxis; regular taxi drivers usually don't know where Nomads is located, so they'll need some coaching using the mapping app of your choice.

GermanyThe plastic wrap around the mattress. Just take it off.
I had a great time in Nomads hostel. Met a lot of travelers to exchange experiences. Great place for socialising but not in a noisy way. Amin did far beyond his job and was always helpful, even off-duty. He made me feel like coming home. The iftar home cooking was delicious.

Booked for one night, stayed for five. This hostel has such a homely feel to it, the staff are all amazing and make you feel right at home. Lots of other travellers to meet and a great, quiet location out of the noisy centre but still close to walk to everything. Stay here if your in Tunis and wanting a good hostel

ChinaI met another asian girl told me the chubby guy at the reception was very rude and unfriendly to her, I realised his rudeness to me was not personal, meanwhile he was very friendly to western female. Shame on him.
The female dorm is with very comfortable bed, The taller staff is very friendly.

GermanyNo major issues
We stayed in a nice and recently renovated private room with a shared bathroom. The staff was polite and forthcoming, and the hostel wasn't too loud, though admittedly we did visit in the off season. The bathrooms were pretty clean for a hostel too. In terms of price-quality ratio, this was an absolutely awesome stay!

ItalyI stayed here in December of last year and I should have wrote a review way earlier. The place is increadible modern, clean and with all the amnities you need ( I would compare it to the best european hostels ) + compared to other places available in Tunisia is really worth it. The staff is incredibly friendly and from the first day I was invited to try some local sweets and sing karaoke all togheter. Also during my stay I got extreamly sick due to an health issue in the middle of the night that didn’t have anything to do with the place/country ( kidney problem ) and the stuff took an increadible care of me, calling a doctor, helping me out with everything, bringing me to the hospital and around to collect the medicines I needed and gave me a ride to the airport. Trust me, this is the place you want to stay in Tunisia and these are the people you want to have around because you always hope nothing bad is going to happen but if it does, you know that you are in good hands!

FinlandMinor points only. The blankets didn't have covers, but I guess it's normal around here. The upper beds were a bit hard to climb in, they could have some kind of handles to grab on to.
The atmosphere was great and the facilities nice. It's walking distance from the city centre. The staff is super helpful. Doing laundry only costs 5€. We came with a car and were able to park it on the side of the road near the building.

FranceAll good.
The atmosphere. Feels so cozy...like coming home ! 🏡 the shining spotless cleanliness, comfort, gorgeous terrace with the 3 budgerigars. Having breakfast in the sun 🌞 on the terrace, meditating with the stars above. The friendliness of the staff and , above all, the vibes. So easy to meet fellow travelers and make new friends. We ended up jamming with guitars 🎸 and singing together! Also, the staff give great advice for visiting their beautiful Tunisian lands 😍

The atmosphere is what makes this hostel 10/10. It very much has a warm, family feel. The hosts mingle with the guests and get to know them. Other guests are kind and wonderful people. You can always find someone to do an activity with if you're traveling alone. The hosts are well connected and have great recommendations. This was the best hostel experience I've had in the last 20 years of traveling.

United StatesThe wifi was pretty slow - I think it was overrun with lots of people. The staff was so kind and allowed us to connect to another network so I could get my work done. We are so grateful for the help! This may not be the best option if you have to do a lot of video calls or web browsing.
The private room was spacious and had a wonderful balcony. The check-in was smooth and the staff was helpful. We appreciated the free coffee in the morning and access to common areas.

Very good hostel with a friendly vib. They are keen to help with all doubts and to help ypu meet other travellers. Rooms have good size, bathrooms are clean and not too busy although they were only a few of them. The kitchen is well prepared to cook. They also offer social dinners with other travellers. Close from the medina but in a well supplied neighbourhood with all close by. Save environment. I stayed longer than booked. The terrace upstairs is fantastic and the one downstairs has ping pong, dards, and all kind of amenities. If I'm back in Tunis I'll definitely go back there!
