Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomToiletries was a tiny bar of soap, no way to make a hot drink, room- especially sink very delapidated. Rug also old and needs replacing. Water pressure very poor. Not a 3star hotel, even hostels have more facilities!
Good bed, quiet hotel. Very central. Lovely manager and night porter, next to cafe for coffee etc. good free WiFi. In room shower, clean toilet along short corridor. Good extra blanket for cold nights. Manager very responsive to queries. Hotel appears to be getting a facelift.

MaltaWCs are clean but communal. Doesn't do breakfast, but readily available from nearby eateries.
At the edge of the old town, close to facilities. Has the layout of a traditional fondouk (caravanserai). A variety of rooms to choose from. Basic but comfortable.

GermanyConsidering this hotel offers the lowest prices on all of Djerba you can't expect five star amenities. I still think some points should be improved, such as: Water pressure for the hot water was really, really low, more of a trickle. I had a room with three beds, the single bed was OK, the double bed's mattress was so worn, though, that I couldn't have possibly slept on it. It was like a hammock with springs. Also one of the pillows had a very bad smell to it. General cleanliness wasn't great (not horrible either) but the rug in the room was absolutely filthy. It was probably 50 years old and had never been washed ... It is also not a good place for light sleepers. There is quite some noise pollution from the outside and inside and it is directly under the entry lane for the airport. Another problem are the many cats. Some places smell badly of cat urine. Watch out to not leave the door to the room open or the cats will come in!
Convenient location next to the souq. Shops, restaurants and plenty of cheap taxis just outside the door. Very friendly staff. Cute, traditional building.

FranceThe toilets need to be cleaned a little bit more frequently. The room was a bit claustrophobic, and overall the rooms need to be refurbished, they're very old.
Location was brilliant. It's right next to the Medina and there's a very good ice cream shop nearby called Djerba Ice. Many restaurants in the neighborhood and the louages stop is around 5 to 6 mins by walking. Staff is friendly too.

GermanyThere is nothing we disliked, but if you want to have a luxury stay at a expensive resort, than better search for something else..:)
The owner was super friendly, he helped us with everything we asked for. The Location was very very good: directly in the medina of Houmet Souk and only few minutes away from the local Bus Station (which brings you to all the different beaches in Djerba) and also very nearby the station de Louage (which is very comfortable after a journey) The rooms are good with a private shower. The toilets are shared but clean. We really enjoyed our stay there and felt very comfortable as two alone travelling woman. Aischk!

United KingdomThe location is extremely convenient for exploring Homt Souk (and Djerba in general), situated right next to the main market and within walking distance of the louage station. While the rooms are basic and perhaps in need of a lick of paint, they are perfectly comfy, relatively spacious and equipped with plug sockets and a hot shower, making it pretty good value for money at their prices
