Lack of simply to have a kettle and cups in the room. Hotel charge for tea bag tea🤦‍♀️ where in 5* hotels it should be for free. Do not book taxi with the hotel, it’s 4 times more expensive, better find other ways to get to the hotel. Toiletries are not changed on daily basis. Only 1 hand towel per room. Brick pillows that are not comfortable for everyone. Only 5 local tv channels. Facilities are very limited but hotel is beautiful

Beautiful palace, like a museum. Great location, easy to find on maps. Special THANKS to a chef who made delicious breakfast. Eastern sweets are not that sweet but sooo delicious!

Bathroom not in good conditions, old and rusty heat radiator, shower towells with humidity smell and back-building noise at night. Restaurant did take too long to prepare main dishes

Not a big thing - the room (suite) was very dark simply due to the building layout (around a courtyard, which btw was soooo pretty and you can sit outside). Having said this there are shutters and i never opened all of them because mostly I was there in the morning and the evening when it was dark anyway. But as i said, this wasn't a major issue for me just don't expect light flooded rooms(having said that, it is November so possibly when the sun is out this would change)

I felt like sleeping in a palace! The hotel is beautiful. Staff are super friendly and helpful, food was good - breakfast was really nice, especially liked the fresh strawberry juice. Location is good although i never did find the shortcut through the Medina 😅. As a female solo traveller safety is always an issue but because the hotel is just on the edge of the Medina it was fine to get to even in the dark. I don't know the other rooms, i think they're all suites but I could be wrong, but mine was super spacious and so beautiful. Also loved the bathtub.

We would have preferred to have stand up showers instead of the bathtubs. However, we understand that this location is a renovation. Given that, we were very satisfied.

Really enjoyed the friendliness of the staff and willingness to accommodate. We had a time at the spa which was very nice as well as ate in the restaurant, very nice and enjoyed the live music! We also had brunch one morning, it was very good.

They offer taxi from the airport for the price twice higher than it is. They have hammam in their offer. We booked it and when the day came we were told it’s not going to happen. A bit disappointing.

It would've been nice to have facilities in the room to make a hot drink.

The hotel is well located in the medina, and easy to find. We enjoyed the breakfast. The rooms are comfortable and well decorated. Excellent wifi and very friendly, helpful staff who couldn't do enough to help.

Breakfast had a lot of options but they were mostly extremely sweet, I would have liked a bit more savoury options and some extra fruit. The woman who served breakfast was clearly not enjoying her job and was not hospitable. The taxi transfer was a big rip off, we realized later we paid way too much for this and we even had to wait half an hour for the driver after we landed. I would recommend you take a normal taxi from the airport.

Beautiful building and beautiful rooms! The hammam is great and our masseuse was lovely. Location is perfect, right in the medina. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful, though not always as available as we would have liked. The hotel is definitely not 5-star worthy, but nevertheless it was a good deal and we had a great stay.

Some of the electrical in our room was problematic. The food was inconsistent.

Authentic historical building, well maintained. Quiet. The staff were incredibly hospitable, hardworking and did everything in their powers to make our stay memorable.

I think a printed map of the Medina would be useful as I didn't have mobile roaming on my phone. Very hard to find wandering lanes of the Medina!!

the building is exquisite, the room comfortable and large. Bathroom fine. Surprised no bottled water complimentary each day. Surprised no kettle with tea/coffee supplied. Breakfast was good though no milk on buffet to go with cereal, though yoghurt was provided. I liked being a small hotel, 17 rooms, personable and very friendly staff. Quiet.

The service at dinner was a bit slow, but the food was delicious and well worth the wait.

The property is AMAZING, being in he heart of the. Media. We had rooms number 5 and 10 and they were each beautiful.

You sleep in a museum, magical! Staff were amazing. Sauna and massage extra but it deserves every penny! It is in the old city so be aware that you’ll live like the old time :)

The food wasn't great and there wasn't much choice for vegetarians. I would have expected more choice for breakfast considering the cost, eg only one type of bread.

The rooms were absolutely beautiful and so was the hotel. We also loved the hammam and enjoyed the treatments. Staff were polite and helpful. It was a real treat to stay there.

- The location is in the center of Medina but there were no lights at night in the alleys that take you to the hotel and of course, the car won't pass through these small alleys. And the hotel will charge 20 Dinars to get your bags to the hotel from inside Medina. - They don't help in getting a taxi to leave for the airport - The wifi wasn’t very good - When we figured its dangerous to move around tonight(once we arrived) we decided to cancel our booking, the cancellation policy was if you cancel the same day you lose the first night's money but the owner refused to give our money back according to the policy

This place is inside the medina of Tunis. Some like this but it's not my preference. The medina was dirty, rubbish everywhere, shop keepers calling out all the time. Never found another place to eat nearby, despite explorations. Still recommend the hotel but it's location is not for everyone.

Very nice place in the medina of Tunis. Dinners were lovely, and it was possible to have wine or beer with the meal. The first night there was live music, wonderful. Breakfast was good, variety of dishes, it changed every day. It's nice to be able to sample different types of food. The room was clean and cozy.
