Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MalaysiaThe room beautiful but the alley to go to the hotel is quite dirty. The staff or buttler also quite good. He like a fatherly figure who always help you for any queries and also act as a waiter.

United StatesI loved everything.
Located in the bustling medina of Tunis, this former Sultan's Palace is a dream. I had no idea when I booked that I would find an actual palace and not just a hotel with "Palais" in the name. You can really feel the history within the walls -- it's like stepping back in time. The staff is so helpful and generous with their time. The breakfast was great. There is a grand dining room for dinner, and an ancient spa on the premises. And the rooms and courtyards are especially charming. I expected that, for the price, I would find something much less grand. I wish I could have stayed longer, and I will be back.

PortugalI don’t know why this place does not have a rating above 9 on booking. I absolutely loved it. If you are looking for an authentic Tunisian place today in the Medina without blowing out your wallet, this is where to go! Lovely site for a wedding or a party as well. I felt like I was Sherazade in my suite! They also arranged for pick up at the airport for me which was very handy!

PolandI had to ask every time I used mini shampoo and shower gel to give me one more. I booked a restaurant for Iftar for one day, then I changed it to the day before. They confirmed it but later it turned out no one actually changed it so I could not attend in the Iftar. The room was very dark (and later the second light even stopped working). The room should be renovated, especially the shower cabin.
Location, great wi–fi, the building looks nice inside, it is kind of an experience, price is low as for a 5–star hotel – I would not call it a 5–star hotel though.

The location is central, staff are absolutely friendly very knowledgeable and welcoming on arrival The Hotel is a piece from History a night to remember, I absolutely with no doubt I recommend you to try it wonderful experience Clean room, comfortable beds, One point, I wasn’t impressed with is the breakfast unfortunately no milk on the buffet or the table, we had to Wait for about 20 minutes for our croissant It should be a choices of omelet or boiled egg? The Buffet lucking of fresh fruit oranges or dates, shame about the breakfast No coffee making facilities in the rooms as a kettle tea bags or instant coffee Honestly is amazing and a night to remember

United StatesThe breakfast was exactly as described in that it was a continental breakfast and had a good variety of items based on the limited number of guests. It only suffers by way of comparison to everything else we enjoyed while at this amazing property.
The location was amazing and our room was one of the historic suites. Incredible decor and space for approximately $100/night. The in house restaurant was nice and the waiter/owner(?) was very attentive. We also thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the in house hammam.

United KingdomThere’s nothing to criticise about that place.
The hotel has a great location in the middle of the old town, just a few minutes away from the main road. The warm welcoming greeting by Mr Sami, the receptionist, gave us a first impression of their hospitality. We were fascinated by the historical and traditional charm, ambient and interior design in the main hall and the room - not mentioning the detailed mosaics everywhere on the walls and on the ceiling.
