There are not many shops/restaurants around but you can dine in the hotel or go elsewhere by public transport

The hotel is not in the heart of the city but is very conveniently located since there is a metro and bus station right outside that will take you to the center in 10-15min. The staff are extremely polite and helpful. The room is very spacious and comfortable. Breakfasts is super delicious:) highly recommend it

Hotel is far from center of Istanbul. Price is pretty steep. Food from the hotel restaurant is very expensive. Rooms/facilities are a bit outdated.

Very nice extensive breakfast. Rooms are comfortable and big Staff is nice, and fruit and water is provided to the rooms for free, which is a nice little extra.

Everything during our stay was wonderful. The cleanliness, the location, the attitude of the staff. Especially the attitude of Mr. Samet, who with his kind attitude, did everything possible to make my daughter feel special! It's great to have Mr. Samet on your team! The hotel’s location is great, but it can get a bit noisy at night. Some better soundproofing would make the experience even better.

Had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The service was exceptional, with special thanks to Serdar at reception for his kindness in offering us a free late check-out, making our departure much more convenient. Also, a big shoutout to Samet from guest relations—always helpful, cheerful, and ready to assist with a smile. Thanks, guys! One of the best hotels I have stayed in throughout my last 20 years travel, all taxi drivers of istanbul know where is Akgun Hotel, the room is big, clean, and very cosy. The breakfast is so diverse and so delicious, specially this royal honey with nuts, not to mention 7 kind of cheese...5 stars is not enough for this amazing hotel.

I had a very positive experience overall. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, providing plenty of comfort during my stay. I particularly appreciated the generous size, which made it easy to relax and unwind. The breakfast was very good. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for ample space and a pleasant stay!
