Room service, especially cleanliness need to be improved. Found that the bedsheet has black threads/dots and still there the next day after it was supposed to be cleaned. I only got free water bottle on the first and second day.

Wonderful location, 5mins walk to the Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern and other main attractions. Convenient to transport, as tram and metro are about 5-10mins walking distance. Welcoming and nice staffs.

Overall the friendliness of the staff was so comforting. Everything was very easy going and whole staff was very relaxed and good. Everything went so well. Its highly recommended.

Staff was excellent, friendly and knowladgeble. Hotel was excellent, nice room, tidy and quiet. Family friendly hotel, I stayed with three kids, ease of access via lift to take us to fourth floor. Partial city view was added bonus. All amenities in the room was excllent, espeacilly mattresses were super comfy. Only 2-3 mins walk to all major attractions in Sultanhamet area. Highly recommended and we will be going back to stay there forsure. Thank you to all staff for having us.

The room wasn't that big.

Everything was amazing. Special thanks to Onur and Yasin. Onur speaks English very well (that is not often in Turkey) so it was easy to talk to him and to arrange our staying. Location of the hotel is great, every important destination is near. Tram station is 3 minutes away. We asked the hotel staff for transportation to the airport - they give us luxury van. It was great experience, we gonna go back again for sure.

Breakfast is varied enough, everyone can find something they like. Special compliments to the chef, all dishes are very tasty. Top location, near the most important tourist attractions, but still in a quiet street. All employees are extremely kind, they fulfilled all our wishes:) Special thanks to Kenan and Onur. Our welcome reception left a lot to be desired, but we later understood that the person at reception was not permanent staff. Kenan, however was most helpful and very friendly. Manager and staff were so good it felt like home.

Normally you can find where you are going with iMap or Google Maps but not here. However the fact that it is just off the main road in a pedestrian alleyway meant that it was quiet and private. I learned the hard way and I hope I can help others find this little gem more easily.

It's impossible to get here using iMap or Google Maps. I spent two to three hours roaming the streets trying to follow both dragging luggage behind me before a kindly store owner called the hotel and told them to send the bellboy to get me which Omur did. It was five minutes away from where I was! The problem is that it is located on a pedestrian path, not a street. Just follow these instructions and you will be there within 7 minutes of getting off the tramway. You take the tramway to Gulhane station on the T1 line, get off and continue following the tram tracks in the direction towards Sultanamet station until you see the sign for Antik Cafe. Just as a note, the other side of the street is the entrance to Topkapi Palace and the Archeological Museums. Go into the cobblestone pedestrian only alleyway, following the central tile drain between the two rows of cafe tables ( actually two different restaurants) turning right at the end. There are four hotels in this alleyway, including Hotel Basilissis. Being back from the road means it was dead quiet, no traffic noise at all even with the windows open!. You are within about 10 minutes walk of the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sophia and Basilica Cistern. Le Sufran restaurant, right on the street where you turned into the alleyway is open 24/7 and the owner is very nice and the food is good too! Gulhane Park, across the road from the Antik Cafe and Le Sufran Restaurant is a green oasis in the middle of Istanbul. How I fluked on to this perfect little hotel I will never know but this is where I will stay again if I get back to Istanbul.

the hotel is in the best location, you can walk to sightseeing places within 5minutes and it is very close to Tram too! but what we like most is hotel staffs, they gave us a brief explanation of Istanbul, what we should do and visit, how to go there and always happy to help when we have any questions. Complimentary room upgrade and breakfast were not what we expected but they provided us from the fist day we checked-in which means they are always welcome and give the best to their guests. Highly recommended if you are visiting Istanbul!!
