Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomHaving to leave…. Our fault but we decided to ignore the advice to leave our car at the top of the road and be collected.. it really is a challenging drive and we are quite gung ho..
Utterly beautiful, delightful staff, delicious food… I would revisit in a heartbeat

United KingdomThe bed in the room was very creaky - when one of us moved in the night it woke the other up! Everything else was perfect.
The service was great and the property is beautiful! They were very attentive and helpful during our stay and the breakfast was delicious.

United KingdomVery little. The Wi-Fi is poor but that is an aspect of the position (no fibre optic) and Government policy. There are some barking dogs at night, particularly down by the sea. A fact but not the hotel’s fault. It didn’t bother us, as we didn’t use the main pool, but some people, mostly English, of an age who really should know better were bagging loungers before breakfast. Smoking in the dining area is an issue, particularly from one very difficult Turkish guest. Finally, if you don’t like cats, maybe don’t stay. There are several around the place including sometimes on chairs and even tables - all in fine condition and well behaved - but they are not everyone’s best friend. Absolutely fine for us.
This is a wonderful hotel. Although only 19 years old, the stone and wooden buildings and gardens are full of character. Our room, just along the road, was beautiful and very comfortable. Excellent views to the sea. The staff are without exception fantastic, especially Hashim and Verat in the dining area and Gulfiz in Reception. Genuinely, nothing is too much for them; excellent service. Nice beach clubs nearby, particularly Mahal and Kalkan Beach. The food is sensational, both breakfast and dinner. We had 2 dinners out but they were not nearly as good as the 5 we ate in.

United KingdomWi-Fi was a little sketchy but that is not the be all and end all to me and for the most part it was available
Location was approximately 1 mile outside of Kalkan town, that was perfect for us but it depends on what other travelers are looking for. You can walk the distance however there is a busy road in parts and a LOT of uphill walking. Taxis are really cheap and only a couple of minutes travel time so it is no issue whatsoever to be outside of the main town. The hotel itself is even better in real life than the photos, there is greenery everywhere which looks stunning. The cleanliness is superb and the staff could not do enough to help

United KingdomThis is a really special place. The beautiful gardens and amazing views the comfortable spacious rooms with lovely balconies make this such a relaxing place to stay. The food is very good here we ended up having dinner here several times and the breakfasts have a wide variety of lovely dishes to choose from. What makes this hotel stand out though are the truly amazing staff - they go above and beyond to be helpful and friendly , nothing is ever too much from organising a boat trip to a taxi and ensuring you feel well looked after. It is an oasis of calm with stunning views and a great atmosphere- we don’t want to leave!!

South AfricaThe friendliness of the staff is the hotels main highlight. The breakfast, lunches, and dinners were out of this world. Stunning pool areas for relaxation and a short drive to some of the main beaches. The sunsets were unparalleled across the bay. We wished we had stayed longer. Hotel decor is super quirky and lively. It was more than a hotel. Last but not least, the cats are super cute, friendly, and well-behaved. If fed, they will most certainly follow you to your room and rest under your sofa.

United KingdomWe didn't use the pools so can't really comment but the other guests seemed ro enjoy their stay around te pool.
Beautiful hotel. The plants, foliage, colours, the decor are all very unique and unlike anywhere else we have stayed. We booked the exclusive suite and this was worth every penny. The views were outstanding, sunbeds on the balcony and seating area inside taking advantage of the views. Breakfast was different and not your standard fare as in many of the other restaurants. It was delicious. We dined in the restaurant a few evenings and the service and food were very good . We took a taxi to the centre several nights and this cost around 170tl each way. The hotel will book the taxi for you. We used villa mahal beach club (very chilled with lovely lunches) most days which is a 5-10 minute walk downhill...slightly longer uphill!! I would highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a relaxing break.

United StatesIn order to get to the property you had to climb about 12 steps to the entry way. There is ample parking but beware that you are parking on a hill. Pictures of the property make you believe that it is spread out over a long area. Basically you there is a central staircase from the pool area that goes up to the different levels of the of each room so if you have mobility issues, be aware that there is no elevator.
The hotel is located on a Cliffside overlooking Kalkan with a view of the Bay. It is a lovely landscaped complex with lots of Bougainvilla and other flowering trees and vines that make for an exquisite environment. The breakfast has many selections of of delectable items you eat in a garden environment with delightful views. We had dinner and it was an amazing food adventure and very romantic. Our room actually had two rooms which were spacious and adequate. We also had a terrace with chairs in front of our room and which were a few steps away from the pool area, there was a library sitting area with ample selections and a very exotic feel to it. The staff took time to spend letting us know of possible day trips and the aspects of the property. There was a bar at the pool and many people took advantage of spending the day by the pool. The television was small and only had two or three English news stations. The pool has shallow and deep ends and there are steps to enter it.

BelgiumOnce you leave the hotel, the spell is broken. You’re not in paradise but in a rather bland area of Kalkan. Two restaurants nearby have recently closed so if you don’t eat in, you have to go to the city centre. By taxi (fixed price) or a 30 min walk involving a serious climb up! The wifi in the hotel could be better!
This place is sheer heaven, the most boutique of all the places we ever stayed in. You think you are on a remote Mediterranean island! Every corner is worth a postcard: the flowers, the plants, the balconies … It’s an interior architect’s dream. Staff is very welcoming and helpful and the restaurant excellent. You may not want to leave!

United StatesThe bedsheet for our king bed was a bit smaller than expected! So try to ask for an extra sheet in advance. That's a tiny detail though that doesn't take away from a 10/10
The hotel is a gem. The view from the rooms is pretty amazing both in the daytime and at night. The staff is friendly. The facilities are so unique and gorgeous they are to be remembered. The breakfast was delicious!! Also a special thank you for upgrading our room. We had a lovely time!

United KingdomNothing! Great staff went over and above to help after a small problem with our booked room. Only thing to note is to try and book the rooms with sea views!
A beautiful hotel on the outskirts of Kalkan. Kalkan itself is not the prettiest town, but this hotel was nice enough we just wanted to stay there for 4 days and not leave. 2 pools, very good cocktail bar, good food at the restaurant, beach club within wailking distance (with free boat into the town for customers).

United KingdomThe breakfast was a Turkish style buffet and we absolutely loved it. My husband is Turkish and quite fussy but even he was impressed. They made sure that anything that was used up was replenished immediately. The pool was also great, deep enough and long enough to have a proper swim!
