Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaThe rooms were were quite quite tiny. There was no heater in the room, so it was quite cold throughout. If they could look into that during the winter months.
Breakfast was good, lots of food to choose from. The location was great, it was a walking distance to most places. The railway station is 2 minutes away. So many restaurants in the same street. Staff were helpful. I had to ask for an extra blankie because it was so cold, which they provided in no time.

United StatesThe bathing area in the standard room is very small. It is not possible to stand there and spread both my arms. The hot section in the breakfast was repetitive in my 4 night stay.
The hotel is located within walking distance from all the must-see attractions in Istanbul. The staff is extremely attentive and fast to respond to all the customer requests. Special shout-out to Mahmood in the hotel staff. He helped me abruptly in loading our bags, making sure we understand all the facilities in the room and get settled comfortably. He also helped us in the checkout process. When our taxi arrived, he swiftly carried all our 6 bags across the street and loaded it in the car. All the other staff members can speak basic English which was super helpful to get recommendations and set up airport taxi. Breakfast has both continental and Turkish dishes. There is a traditional cheese and yogurt platter every day with numerous dips. They have a hot food section which consists of mostly egg variety and some bread. Lentil soup is available everyday. Along with this there is a range of traditional breads, lokum and fresh fruit.

RomaniaTHE RECEPTIONIST WHO GAVE US A SINGLE ROOM WITH A NARROW BED ...AND NOT A DOUBLE WITH A DOUBLE BED....SEE THE BOOKING...THIS RECEPTIONIST'S BEHAVIOR MAKES SERES HOTEL A SHAME.....shame.... ..until now everything was 10...but this time ..this receptionist spoiled a good impression....and in the future I will think twice if I go to this hotel again
it's the 6-7th time I've stayed at Seres hotel and so far I've had nothing to complain about, everything was a 10.. BUT this time a new receptionist or someone I've never met before asked us to pay before. upon arrival. ALTHOUGH ..... we had chosen to pay during the stay... and... UNPLEASANT SURPRISE... we received a single room with a small bed, not as we had booked a double room with a double bed and view to street... when we asked to change the room, he asked us for another 50 euros... which we did not give him. ) ..only the next day a known receptionist changed the room...as it was in the reservation

United KingdomIt was however a very noisy and busy area we were staying in. The room was nothing like the pictures we saw previously on the website so that was perhaps the major dissapointment.
The location of this hotel is a plus as was the breakfast buffet which in my view is one of the best I've experienced.

AustraliaThe description of rooms available and what you get is I suspect deliberately ambiguous with this being the third time we ended up with something less than we expected. I suspect they take your booking, but on arrival, simply allocate you to whatever room is still available - we at least get our booked double-bed room. Not to worry, a room is only for sleeping in, given superb location has so many options for when you are not sleeping. But next trip, we might look at nearby alternatives...
We have stayed here before, mainly as the LOCATION in the old town is superb, being very close to all the main attractions, the Bosporus, on the tram route, and with an endless choice of restaurants, eateries, wine bars and shops adjacent...

RomaniaVery small rooms, old hotel, the entrance seems to be a store. You literally can't open a suitcase in the rooms. We've been upgraded to a standard room from a budget one but there is no difference.

United KingdomWifi in our room was very bad, barely got 1mbps some days so we had to use the common areas downstairs for anything internet related. The room was smaller than we thought and depending on where you get a room the lighting can be a problem e.g too dark but it was a budget room we went for so that's what 'budget' gets you.
Very friendly and helpful staff members, the room is small but it's perfect for a short stay. Central location that is near various markets, tourist sights and restaurants. The hotel breakfast was great and is served on their terrace with a view of the city.

South AfricaThe bathroom extractor fan was not working so the bathroom got very stuffy and accumulated smells. There was no proper bedside lamp that one could use to read at night while the person I was with slept. Without disturbing them. The bedside lamps were to bright and brightened the whole room.
1. The gentlemen at reception in the morning were very friendly and helpful. It was my first time at Istanbul and they were able to clearly direct us to all the destinations we wanted to visit. They further made us feel welcomed and valued as guests. 2. The location was excellent and close to public transport and interesting historical sites. 3. The room was spacious enough for two people.

PortugalRooms are very small even in standard categories (but I guess that’s normal in the downtown area) so if you’re staying for more than 2 days it’s worth it to upgrade. Double bed was also small and we were two women. Our room had shower issues every single day: temperature is hard to regulate, suddenly getting extremely hot and/or cold, that could not be solved. That’s really upsetting especially when the shower is so small you can’t even step aside. water pressure was solved after complaining. Once after complaining I offered to pay for a room upgrade and the reception claimed there was no availability (when there was as per booking.com) You need to pay for the breakfast orange juice which made absolutely no sense to me as there was no other fresh juice options (in a country that has so many good fruits and constantly sells fresh juices outside). WiFi is terrible, at least on the 6th floor. It was my mom’s birthday and I asked the receptionist on the previous day if they could do something small like decorating the breakfast table, it would have cost nothing to them, but there was nothing there. When I realised and spoke to the waiter the poor sweet guy tried his best to at least give a piece of cake with a candle and play a music. Mezze rooftop restaurant food was good but not excellent, very expensive for what’s offered (15€ for a cocktail for ex) and there’s no discount for hotel guests, another bad experience. Nobody at the reception ever asked about our daily plans or suggested a must go to place to visit or to eat.
The hotel has one of the best locations in the city - Plenty of restaurants, shops and different public transportation options available Superb view of the city (both day & night) from the top restaurant where you can enjoy a good Turkish breakfast or a dinner Excellent daily cleaning of rooms and hotel areas Some of the staff are very friendly, not all

United KingdomMy Booking described the room as a budget room. The room allocated to us was on the 3rd Floor, a tiny room where you have no space to move around or for luggage. The shower room was very small. The tap water was dirty and smelly. I informed the staff and they said to keep it open for 15 minutes and clear water would come. But it did not work and we made a complaint to the reception. The reception staff informed me that there was no other room available as our booking was for a budget room. We said the room is very tiny and the water is dirty and we cant stay in the same room. The manager informed us that they cant do anything on the day but next day they will try and move us to another room. The next day we were moved to a room on the 5th floor. which was a great room compared to the one on the 3rd floor and the tap water was clear.
1. All staff at the hotel are very good. Especially Ali and another staff on the 7th floor restaurant. 2. The location is brilliant, takes only 7 mins walk to Blue Mosque and 7 minutes walk to Galata Bridge and Boats etc. 3. It is a very busy area with many restaurants, cafes and the famous Hafiz Mustafa Restaurant. 4. Tram stop on the same road

LithuaniaThe room was extremely small (even no space to store the luggage). The shower was very difficult to set and maintain the desired water temperature, one second it's burning hot, the next it's ice cold. The room thermostat wasn't working properly and despite any set temperature, the AC was blowing constant cold and every night it was getting too cold in the middle of the night.
The breakfast was excelent with vast food selection and awesome experience to have it at rooftop terrace with a view over the whole Istanbul. The location is good and at the heart of very busy area with plenty of restaurants and shops and interest points arround.

United StatesMy only issue was that the bathroom/showers had grout, mildew, and grime built up, and the showers were a little small. However after we called management about the grout and mildew, they immediately offered us another room to switch to and the following morning, the cleaning crew came and deep cleaned/scrubbed the shower.
I loved the breakfast every morning. The variety was a nice taste of the culture and enough for us to be satisfied. The staff were so great and Turgay, one of the staff members, was always so generous and kind! The location of this hotel was perfect! It was close to all the major spots of Istanbul, including the Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace, Aya Sofia, the Blue Mosque and the tram. It was easily walkable to the Bosphorus and the bridge, and was just a short walk to the ferry station. The shops around the hotel were also really accessible.
