Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaFirst, don't rely on their early chick-in promises. For a few hours early, they charge you for a full day. The management and staff are unprofessional and rude, very poor customer service. Their kitchen and patio shut down by the municipality (according to their neighbor), only pre prepaired breakfast, which is very simple and limited, is served (if you go for coffee refill or a piece of bread staff show attitude). The heating system doesn't work properly and is noisy. No napkins and toilet papers in the washroom for days, and staff don't care. The toilet is broken. Not even drinking water available in the building, you have to purchase your water from outside. I don't recommend this junk hostel for tourists. It might be suitable for local residents. After leaving this place, for almost the same rate, I found a very good hostel with perfect customer service and facilities.
Nothing in this junk place, a nightmare, and a waste of money.

PakistanI am a solo female traveller, and have been in many countries, but really I had never such bad experience than before. 1. I have already made a special request that I will be late, so it's my humble request to keep my food(breakfast) so I was coming after long, 18 hours travelling, 2. When I reached the hostel, the guy gave me the room on the first floor. He did not even bother to take my bag . He was just sitting and looking at me, when I requested him , kindly can you take my bag on the first floor???? He said, "No, Sorry. You do it yourself. After 18 hours of travelling, I was so tired and wasn't expecting this blunt reply. 3. When I asked him that, I had requested to keep my food . He said No, sorry, no food. Restaurants are open outside, and you can get food from there. But if you need boiled water , I can give it to you. I said OK thanks," and was dragging my heavy suitcase on the stairs. And still, he was looking without any help. By the way , who will come again here with this attitude. Never me. I was not expecting only boil water to welcome. Hardly it took a minute to a man to take the suitcase upstairs. Anyways, while going back, I handle myself. His facial expressions were like... I made a mistake in booking this property.
The location was OK. The local bus will take you from the airport till the point, and the hostel will be almost 7 km away from there.. so you need taxi from there to hostel. Try to avoid your midnight flights . To avoid the taxi , getting triple extra Dollars 💸 .

Mexico-thin walls means it was noisy -bathroom was combined shower with toilet, which means everything was always wet -room was in the 3rd or 4th floor but there was no elevator -area is extremely touristy and overpriced (restaurants, shops)
-24 hour reception -clean -baggage storage possible after checkout -close to blue mosque, hagia sophia and the palace

ColombiaHm.. the wi-fi could be better. But if you go downstars then it's fine. Facilities?? What do you need? It's a hostel and you will be out most of the day. I think they have what I need.
The staff. They can make a big difference for my stay. They are very helpful and english-speaking. It's so easy to live her. I like that the breakfast are included so I don't have to go anywhere to find it. There are a few work-spaces downstars for digital nomades to! Beds are super. I love them. Warm and cold water!! Very nice area.

Sultan Hostel and Guesthouse is the best place tp stay in Istanbul. All the staff members and the owner are amazing and super friendly. They make you feel you are at home. The hostel is well centered in an excellent location near the tramway. I would to write a special thank you to Murad and Hayrettin.

The best place in istanbul, Mr.Ahmet was really nice, hospitable and sweet. The place is really well managed, clean, and neat tidy. For all the solo travellers and even families out there, this place is highly recommended with the great location near to aya sofia and blue mosque. Keep it up Sultan Hostel!

HungaryI checked in, chose a bed, and went for a walk. When I arrived back, I found someone sleeping in my bed. My bag was at reception and the receptionist said my booking expired. I had to fight for a bed to stay for the night. Worst hostel experience in my whole life. Rude guys, cannot recommend.

GreeceThere was no soap or paper towels at some of the bathrooms. Sometimes the showers were kinda dirty. The guy at the reception was kind of rude but that doesn’t apply to everyone that works there. Some were extremely helpful. The room where you are supposed to put your baggage is always open and anyone can just enter the hostel and take your stuff. The room was very smelly especially with other 5 men that we’re staying there.
The location and price is good.

United KingdomNot designed to provide a comfortable experience to travellers especially women. - Showers didn't have hooks and were incredibly small. There is literally no place to place clothes. - Bathrooms didn't have dustbins inside or even locks (twice, someone opened the door and I had to hold it back. As a female traveler, really not the best experience). There was no space to even put toiletries making it really hard in the morning to freshen up. Esp with no other place to put makeup and get ready, this was a disaster. The place isn't designed with women in mind. - breakfast was rationed out with specific portions. If I want two eggs and no olives, that isn't an option. I'd have to get a whole place to get an extra egg and waste everything remaining. - It was v hot at night and even when I messaged, the temperature of the AC was unchanged and it was still the same the night after. There were mosquitoes at night as well. - There was a cat next door who had 4 kittens. And while that's ok, there was a really bad smell in the entire corridor (keeping cats is ok but if they're in the hostel, cleaning becomes your responsibility). I'm also allergic to cats so you can imagine it was difficult to rely on antihistamines the entire time I stepped inside. - lastly, the staff was helpful but it was extremely uncomfortable seeing them pull 24 hr shifts. I personally am not comfortable staying in a place where the staff isn't given the opportunity to get decent sleep (idk if the two guys I saw were owners or staff but either way, I wouldn't want to risk staying in a place that isn't taking care of their staff)
Good location, v close to the main mosques. Kind reception staff.
