Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaKitchen/living room are not the best. Running water on the floors at some point which was cleaned only the second day. Toilet does not have toilet paper. At all. That means you should bring your toilet paper, which I find unacceptable . Also, for 2 days there was no soap at the toilet. An improvement of the toilet and kitchen/living room is a must.
The hostel is very central, close to the Main Street in Istanbul. Location is perfect. The sleeping room and the beds are pretty good.

IrelandIt was in a basement like area. This was ok but it only had one bathroom between 10 beds. The bathroom was not that clean either. The whole place could have been more hygienic and it’s not on par with other hostels I visited in east Europe.
It was relatively well located to see the city’s main attractions. A short walk to the tram which brings you to the blue mosque and other places located near the hippodrome. Free lockers

United KingdomHostel not signed or signposted in any way so spent ages wandering around looking for entrance. Always a bad start to a stay after a tiring journey. ((USEFUL TIP: : "Dorne Suite" shares same location/owner and is signed with office on street.)) A local helped by calling hostel phone number. Receptionist then appeared and check-in was efficient. My request for lower bunk was honoured. Only one combined toilet/shower between many guests. Some took long leisurely showers. Poor control of food storage in fridges with some food going rotten. Dorm extremely untidy and cluttered with large luggage items and guests' random stuff over floor despite free lockers and keys provided. Result a hazardous obstacle course at night. Some guests made voice calls or watched videos in dorm without earphones while others were trying to sleep. Loud talking from kitchen carried straight into dorm until small hours. No door between spaces. Bring earplugs! The whole regime of this basic hostel could easily be improved with more rigorous management and some greater attention to detail.
Central location but be prepared for basic hostel accommodation in a basement. The resident volunteer Erhan (sp?) was a very friendly and interesting guy. Other guests at the time of my stay were a sociable international bunch. This helped compensate for some negatives. Kitchen facilities are adequate. Free use of washing machine. Wi-fi worked. Bunks clean and comfortable. Adequate electric sockets in dorm. Lockable lockers ad keys provided. Hostel is in reasonable walking distance (30-40 mins) of Havas airport bus station. Location close to main pedestrian street with many eating choices for all budgets.

South KoreaThere is no door in the dorm so very noisy. And when someone takes shower, the heating machine makes noise. The dorm is underground, so there is no sunshine. The bathroom and kitchen were very dirty everytime and the smell was quite stinky. Sometimes there is no toilet tissues in the bathroom. Staffs sleep on the sofa in the living room, so very uncomfortable in the morning. I couldn't sleep well at night cuz many people make noise until 1,2 a.m!! If you like to cozy hostel, it won't be here. There is no detergent for washing machine, so you should buy it in the supermarket...
The staffs are very kind. Good bedroom and free washing machine.

MoroccoHonestly, it's not what I thought. It's not very clean and has some problems in the kitchen like the electricity doesn't work and the place for washing dishes leaks a lot of water and the washing machines don't work because of the electricity problem. I talked to him to fix this but to no avail. But there are positives like the location is nice and quiet and very close to transportation, the Bosphorus and the famous Turkish markets as well as tourist places and its location is on Istiklal Street, Taksim Square area

ChinaVery bad, very bad, terrible, I've never seen such a dirty accommodation, living in the basement without ventilation, it stinks. Everyone shares a bathroom. The kitchen is vomiting and very dirty. The refrigerator is full of rotten food and stinks. In the public area, people sleep, smoke, and throw cigarette butts into the coffee cup. A disgusting person.

MoroccoThe room in this hostel is not large compared to the number of beds; there isn't enough space to store our luggage. Moreover, it is not clean, there are too many mosquitoes, and there is only one toilet and shower for 10 people. People knock on the door while you're showering. Additionally, some people sleep in the kitchen area. The staff also does not change the bed linens for new guests.
The best thing about this hostel is its location, very close to Taksim.

New ZealandThe staff don't change the sheets. I was witness when a guest left one staff member came and used the same sheet for bedding for the next guest. No toilet paper, no soap in the toilet and the kitchen sink was blocked. Rubbish on the kitchen floor it seems they never vacuum the place. This place is very hygienic.
