Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomLocated in a very quiet area, just a few blocks to the tram station and Galata Port. Also very close to İstiklal but is hilly to get there. All the staff are friendly and helpful and will do an extra mile for you to have a great stay. We were upgraded to this beautiful and large suite and we just can’t thank them enough for the luxurious treatment. We also love the breakfast. Added to the great experience was the view of the Bosphorus from the restaurant.

SwitzerlandAmazing stay! The hotel has a superb location, making it easy to explore the city. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to help with a smile. Special thanks to Gürsoy and Fuat Bey, who were extremely helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable. The rooms are spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of options to start the day right. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a pleasant and hassle-free stay!

United KingdomRoom was a bit too warm and controlling the temperature not so easy. Opening the windows to cool it down and let the fresh air in meant the seagull noise in the mornings was a bit irritating.
We were upgraded and the room we had was huge with high ceilings. Large luxurious bathroom. The breakfast was delicious and very wonderfully varied - lots of pastries sweet and savoury to choose from, delicious juice and coffee - fabulous view of the Bosphorous, Topkapi palace, and the Hagia Sofia in the distance. Helpful staff. Location is away from the main hustle and bustle so it feels nice and secluded especially as its next tot the Italian consulate / embassy and it's useful for the main shopping street and the trendy areas around Beyoglu, Taxim, etc. We had a fabulous meal from room service so the chef is great! Delicious tea served at 4pm a real treat. Great books in the library on Turkish carpets, etc.

AustraliaThe only small issue was the loud banging of the air conditioning outside the bedroom window but I slept through it none the less.
The property was in a nice quiet nook, no traffic or cars unless there was a specific situation like school pick up. It was so niche and beautiful inside the property, because it doesn’t have so many rooms like a regular hotel, you really feel at home. The staff are incredible, every single one of them. They always greet you by your name and are so so kind and offer to help in any possible way they can.

RussiaNothing, really.
This hotel quickly became our favorite in Istanbul! It's clean, spacious and stylish. The beds are super comfortable. There were jacuzzi baths in both rooms we stayed in. And Molton Brown amenities are provided. From the room on the 3rd floor we had a very beautiful view over the rooftops. And there's an even better view from the breakfast terrace! The sraff is super nice and professional. The breakfast is probably the best we had in Istanbul - at first, it might seem like quite a small selection, but it's actually more than enough, and everything is fresh and tasty. The location is great if you don't mind going uphill. It's about 5 minutes to Istiklal streat, but it's rather steep, so keep that in mind. On the other hand, you can go down the street, and it takes around 15 minutes to get to the beautiful waterfront.

PolandDifficult for two people to use the sink due to the narrow alcove. The bathroom, in white marble, could use a bit more decoration. But honestly, if these are my only "complaints," it shows how picky you'd have to be to find anything wrong!
1. Best breakfast of my life (and I tend to dine well!). Exceptional food quality and an unforgettable view. 2. Spacious, very clean, and well-equipped rooms. 3. Best price-to-quality ratio I've had in a long time. 4. The Nicole restaurant discount for hotel guests was a great bonus. 5. Perfect customer service - even early check-in was accommodated. 6. Truly large bed.

RussiaIt's not cheap but the rooms are beautiful. Restaurant operates somewhat separately so not always available to hotel guests....even room service.
Very friendly staff. Spacious rooms and real sense of design. Picturesque view of Bosphorus from restaurant. I'll be back. Close to restaurants and night life if you want it but on a quiet street...if the Italian Embassy isn't throwing a party. We were traveling with a baby and staff was totally amenable.

The hotel is located on a quiet street opposite the Italian consulate. Not far from the Galata Tower and Istiklal Street. Hotel TomTom is located in a historic restored building. The renovation was done recently. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfasts at the hotel are very varied and very tasty. This is now my favorite hotel in Istanbul.

Saudi ArabiaDue to its location opposite to the Italian consulate, no cars are allowd on the hotel's street, it is for pedestrians only. So expect taxis to drop you within a very short, but steep, distance from the hotel. Important to keep that in mind if you are with limited mobility or have lots of bags (I'm sure if you ask the hotel can help you with that).
Cosy elegant boutique hotel, it is a renovated historic building, limited number of rooms but the rooms are massive nicely decorated with plenty of space and great amneties. Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide selection of traditional turkish dishes with top quality ingredients served in a room with panoramic city views, it is such a charming way to start your day. Good location, opposite to the Italian consulate and close to Galata tower, taksim street and Karakoy tram and pier, you can also easily walk to the spice bazar within 15 minutes . The staff and service were exceptional.
