We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandThe location is stunning, overlooking the tea plantation The staff was exceptional, they were super helpful and send me a lot of information and useful tips via WhatsApp, they also gave me good suggestions for visiting the Alishan forest As I left early for the sunrise they prepared a magnificent breakfast bag for me, well beyond my expectations. I recommend to book the hot pot dinner. The location requires to have a car or to use a driver, the B&B has plenty of recommendations if you need a driver. Definitely recommended

AustraliaYou can't walk to the shop in the dark on a narrow busy windy road without getting yourself killed. They should explain to people when they pick them up at the local 7-11 which they did kindly the situation.

Beautiful property, spacious and clean room, with a lovely view of the tea fields. Breakfast and the made to order hot pot was also delicious, would love to visit again! Although it’s high in the mountains, the electric blanket and heater made the room nice and cosy.

United StatesThe property was excellent, but it have to be notice that the way to it suppose to be done during the light hours. We experienced a very difficult driving since most of the driving was in a deep cloud and the vision was terrible and dangerous. This cloudy situation is very common in this area and suppose to be taken in account when planning the trip. Come just during the light hours.
Great location, super clean, the team was very communicative. Breakfast was very good.

United KingdomNot a problem because they were very clear in all communication - cash only!
This beautiful hotel is set high in the mountains, surrounded by fields of tea bushes. The staff were really helpful and set up a WhatsApp chat with me that helped with directions, places to eat and things to do. Each interaction included photos of the route might have been tricky. Our rooms were large and clean with nice bathrooms and cosy beds. The views were spectacular. We only had 2 nights here so didn't go out to the viewing spots in the Alishan recreational area, choosing instead to watch the sunset and sunrise from the property's roof or our balcony. It was perfect. We ate at the hotel. The hotpot was a selection of vegetables, fish and meat with a stockpot on a burner. It was good fun and delicious. We ate somewhere different the second night, but in hindsight should have eaten at the hotel again. I wish we'd had longer because the trekking routes around the hotel looked lovely.

Nestled in the stunning tea plantation region, our stay at the B&B was definitely worth the effort it took to get there. One day, we ventured out to Alishan National Forest, which was about a 45-minute drive from our accommodation. Conveniently, there was a bus stop right in front of the town. To get to the bus stop from the B&B, we enjoyed a scenic walk along a misty trail that took us about 20 minutes. On our first night, we were lucky enough to be on the fifth floor, where the view was breathtaking. For our second night, we opted for the second floor so we could wake up right next to the tea plantation, surrounded by the lush greenery!

Czech RepublicThe transport from station to the hotel was for us difficult. We asked reception for help us and they send many contact to Taiwan taxi drivers. Nobody spoke with us English, so we didnt order the transport. At the end the hotel sent for us the transport and next day help us to manage our trip, but the arrival was for us little bit confusing. Maybe it was the mistake off our comunication.
This is so beautifull place, so I recomend this hotel for people, who like nature, quiet and mountains. For breakfast they prepared hot buffet, very delicate and for dinner you can order Hot pot from fresh vegetables, see food and meat. Great!

Detailed communication with the inn. Speaking English fluently. Details are disclosed upfront. Clean and very spacious room with gorgeous views of tea farms. Located nearby Sunset Trail. Rooftop has amazing views of sunset. Breakfast options are plentiful, but do come early or at risk of running out of food.

United StatesIt is no fault of the hotel/B&B itself, but if you want a choice other than their hot-pot dinner, you need to drive ~10min or so to town. The next is not a con, but payment is in cash
The views were absolutely gorgeous from the room, hotel, as well as the roof of the hotel. There is a serene landscape given this B&B is near the top of the hill. There is also complimentary tea tasting

Hong KongStrong air conditioner would be needed especially during summer.
Inside a tea farm with lots of green. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset and clean air surrounded by the green. Common area provides tea and water so it's perfect for gathering (plus they don't allow eating inside the room). Breakfast is great, quality is good enough for the crowd as we don't need a lot of varieties. The hiking trials nearby are nice too. Great location, stunning views, warm hospitality!
