Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Bed was a little harder than we like, but that is just a preference and I would still book this place again.
Room was spacious, colourful and very clean. Close to the beach and everything you need, and they rent out scooters if you need go somewhere. There was a water dispenser and all the staff is friendly and helpful.

There was a small language barrier, but nothing a translation app and som hand gestures could'nt fix.
Kind people, the room had what we needed, and it was clean.

That was by far the dirtiest room we had in Taiwan. The no-window room smells awful and is very humid. The aircon is just above the bed and you cannot change wind orientation (broken feature). Absolutely not soundproof. We could hear our neighbors' children for hours. No water heater nor tea bags. Note that rooms with window appeared to be better. Do not hesitate to spend a little bit more to get one.
The location is just perfect, close to the beach, to the night market, and to the bus station.

The furniture was a bit run down, but overall everything was clean. The hotel internet did not work at all the whole week I was there, but it was fine because I had data on my SIM card.
Location was great! Right at the tourist express bus stop, beginning of the night market, and beginning of the path up to Kenting National Park. Big Bay beach is just behind the hotel. The room was spacious, there were a lot of clothes hangers to dry clothes, and the bathroom was also very spacious. There was a water dispenser for hot, cold and room temperature water right outside my room.

One area of concern was the cleanliness of the room. The floor was covered in dust, requiring me to wear slippers throughout my entire stay. Furthermore, the bed itself had traces of dust or small particles, which made it slightly uncomfortable. I hope the management takes note of this issue and ensures a thorough cleaning in the future. Another aspect that could be improved is the room lighting. The current lighting setup creates a somewhat gloomy atmosphere, making the room feel darker than desired. Enhancing the lighting arrangements would greatly contribute to a more welcoming and pleasant ambience.
Despite bad initial impressions due to unimpressive website photos, I decided to give this budget-friendly option a try, and it turned out to exceed my expectations, making for a promising start to my stay (Maybe my initial expectation is too low LMAO). It's important to note that the owner and his family reside on-site, lending a lively atmosphere to the place. One of the hotel's standout features is its strategic location, with close proximity to all the main attractions such as the beach, restaurants, night markets, and bars in Kenting. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The staff member took the time to explain the local area and bring us to the room itself. The unit itself offered a surprising amount of space, especially the bathroom, which was so huge that it could easily accommodate five or more people. This spaciousness added to the overall comfort of the stay. This place provided a pleasant and affordable experience, exceeding my initial expectations. The lively atmosphere, convenient location, and friendly staff contributed positively to my stay. With attention to room cleanliness and improvements in lighting, this hotel has the potential to offer an even better experience for future guests.
