Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeRoom is big and comes with a nice area for dining or for work. Room is also clean. Only complaint is the height of the bathroom. Not sure why the step has to be so high

United StatesThe decors are dated, the walls are slightly scuffed and dirty. The ottomans are also old and slightly dirty, it’s serviceable but nothing to write home about.
There is no breakfast offered, however there are tons of street booths and vendors that specialize in a variety of breakfast options. Location is prime, and you literally can get to anywhere within the city via MRT, or a short Uber ride would take care of most of the travel needs.

SingaporeAlthough the hotel is opposite the Taipei main station, I did not like having to walk through the 'confusing' rows of shops and routes in the Taipei main station to reach the metro. The room making service is a bit slow. A few times, we returned back to the room during mid-afternoon, the room was not made yet. We had to inform the staff to make the room. After informing, the staff was quick to make the room.
The location of the hotel is good. Its opposite the Taipei main station. With the Taipei main station near the hotel, you can easily use the metro to access other parts of Taipei. The room is modern with a minimalist look. The room was neat and clean. The bed was clean and comfy. The shower room and toilet were modern and clean. The Wi-Fi speed was fast. The flat screen TV (50"" or 55") has over 100 channels. The room is exactly as in the photos shown. Visitors to the hotel should use the lift (it shows number 4 on the lift) near to the Z2 exit to reach to ground level. When you come out of the lift, you would see a brown building called Asis Plaza Tower. The hotel is located on the 26th floor of this building. The Z2 exit is near to the convenient shop 711. If you use the Z2 exit, you will have to climb a tall flight of stairs to reach to ground level.

IndonesiaThe staff are nice and helpful, the location is very convenient at the Asia Plaza Tower, near the Taipei Train Station, stores, malls, and lots of places to eat. The room is spacious and clean, beds are comfy, many power plugs, and they provide water dispenser in several places. We really enjoy staying here.

SingaporeLevel 26 means we might need to wait for lifts, but there are 8 lifts so the wait isn’t too long. No other facilities other than the accoms
It was at a great location, near the Taipei main station which was f great convenience when you are traveling into or away from Taipei. It’s close proximity to the department store and small eateries around. It’s only in one level so we get the bird eye’s view of the city. Our room was coincidently facing Taipei 101.

NetherlandsNo chairs in the room. There is no hotel name on the building. Look for the darker brown brick building with rounded corners. The building itself is called Asia Plaza Tower. (Next building is Cesar Park hotel). There was a market right in front of the building during our stay, with white tented stalls. Should now be easy to find, it is worth it.
Great location, opposite the main railway station and behind hotel streets with many eateries. Friendly staff. Clean room, fantastic view from 26th floor.

I had a great stay at Brown House Hotel in Taipei! The location is super convenient, and the public transport is within walking distance like THSR, TRA, MRT, Airport MRT line and Kingbus(or Guoguang Bus, I'm confusing as well) Terminal. And there are lots of good local food vendors around the hotel. It made getting around the city super easy. From the moment I arrived, the staff were super friendly and professional, making check-in quick and smooth. You can tell they’re well-trained and really care about their guests. The room was spacious, clean, and super comfortable, which was a nice surprise. The bed was really cozy, and the nighttime view was stunning that I could see the city skyline. Although I noticed that some disposable amenities weren’t provided due to local rules, it honestly wasn’t a big deal since the hotel still had all the essentials. I had a really good experience here. If you're visiting Taipei and looking for a comfy place to stay with great service, I’d definitely recommend Brown House Hotel! I would love to stay here again next time!

United StatesLounge was not too comfy, wood benches and hard chairs. My room (no window) was pretty small. Okay for just me but would be small for 2 people, not sure where you would put a second suitcase. Just a shelf to put your stuff on. The bathroom really needs another shelf or more hooks. Only shampoo and body wash are provided.
The location was excellent, right across from the main train and subway station. I found entrance/exit M5 to be the best, essentially right across the street from the hotel. 8 elevators for this building so you never had to wait long. Staff was nice. Would have been nice to have a few couches. Microwave available in the lounge. Filtered water dispensers with bot hot and cold water in the hallways. Good internet and water pressure. Value good for the price I paid. Luggage storage available. Mini mart next to hotel, also the department store in the Shin building next door had a small grocery in the B2 (basement level). McDonalds around the corner for a quick snack or meal if you want something familiar. Some vendors in front of the building, I bought fresh fruit from one. Mini fridge in the room.

United StatesI love this hotel especially the location it's close to everything. The hotel is so clean. They provide house slippers, it's so perfect for asian visitors. I like that they have a lobby for you stay or eat your meal. The hotel doesn't have a smell like smoke or musky smell. The receptionists are very welcoming. I definitely 100% recommend this hotel.
