Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWould've liked at least a chair for our room. Because elevators were shared with other floors, it took forever to come up and down depending on time of the day.
Room was spacious! I like that there was a lounge to eat our meals. Location was awesome!

SingaporeIf coffee and tea were provided, then would be great. The place where we can eat should open 24 hours.
The room was big and nice. View was good. Very convenient location. Can link to Taipei Main station underground without going out of the building which is good when raining.

MalaysiaToilet - basic facilities but hotel need to work on fixing of the faulty equipments such as towel rack, shower head holder. Was not happy with the shower head holder but too lazy to complain as we were in the room for shower and sleep only (out of the hotel for tours most of the days)
Location - smack in the middle of Taipei and walking distant to Taipei Main Station (convenient) Room - spacious for me and wife with 2 queen beds. Comfy beds and pillows which I never had any neck pain while in Taipei (after sleep) Staff - I believe some of the dont converse in English much but kudos to them as they tried to assist by google translate as we were looking for a halal store nearest and they kindly assist to find one. At the same time, I arrived in Taipei 1 day later than what I have booked! They were helpful in assisting in getting the one day refund because of the typhoon. Kudos to the team and that energetic lady! (sorry I didn't get her name)

SingaporeA persistent musty smell in the room
Centralised location, and do note that the accommodation is located within a commercial building called 亞洲廣場大樓,alongside several other hotels. We realised that it's linked to the Taipei Main Station underground mall so you actually don't have to exit the building to access the station, especially during rainy/typhoon days. Spacious, Muii-style clean rooms with amenities for convenience. Water pressure in the shower is very strong, very good! There is a laundry room to wash our clothes (only NTD50 per tub, and NTD30 per tub for dryer; accepts only NTD10 coins so do note this, can exchange for coins with receptionist) and the receptionist will provide free detergent upon request (can choose between powder or liquid detergent). No free bottled water but there is a thermal flask in the room for you to refill hot or cold water along the corridor. Ample space to place the luggages as well. We booked two rooms for five of us for first 3D2N, and then the staff allowed us to leave our luggages in their storage room for 5 days as we ventured to Taichung and then we just claimed them back when we re-checked in again to the hotel for another week. This was life-saving as we did not need to lug all 5 luggages with us around, especially with two elderly with us. A great lounge to have your meals while enjoying the scenery. We only discovered the microwave oven in the lounge on our last day, it's so convenient to buy back bentos and reheat them! There is a family mart just downstairs so convenient to buy simple food products. Just a note that there is no proper sheltered drop-off / pick-up spot so you can either do a quick drop-off/pick-up right in front of the building (to wait there right before the car arrives to prevent jamming up the traffic) or you can ask the driver to do so at the back door of the building (in front of Guang Nan wholesale store) but it's only accessible from 6am to 10pm.

The hotel is located at the 26th floor. It only opened a few months ago so everything is brand new, sheets and towels are very clean, staff are attentive. There is a luggage room and staff allowed us to store our luggages before check in. The lounge area where you can eat and heat up food is very clean. Beds are comfortable. I also like that it is very accessible to the Taipei Main Station, department stores, restaurants, etc.

PhilippinesWe arrived at wee hours of morning, hence no MRT. The Brown House Hotel isnt wazeable. Car transfer from the airport dropped us like 100 meters away from the building. There is no clear address, no signage. We had to ask a lot of times. Brown House is located at 26th Floor of Asian Plaza Bldg right across the Main Taipei Station.
No breakfast included. There's a Family Mart at the lobby thats very accessible. There's also a nearby Mcdonald's for quick bite.

SingaporePerhaps coffee and tea can be provided in the pantry.
Hotel room size is perfect for a family and has a nice view of Taipei, able to see Taipei 101. Photos of their room is accurate. Staff are helpful and there's plenty of food and shopping options within the area. Location is convenient with it being close to the mrt and being mostly shelthered. For families with strollers, take exit z4 which has an elevator. You will just be a minute walk from the building.

New ZealandWe had a wonderful time staying at your hotel during our recent trip to Taiwan. Our flight arrived in the morning, and we were pleasantly surprised when the staff informed us that our room was ready for check-in at 9 am, even though the standard check-in time is later. We greatly appreciate this exceptional service and would like to express our gratitude to the hotel staff for making our stay so enjoyable. The location is ideal, and the MRT is conveniently situated directly in front of the main entrance. We will certainly return and stay here again the next time we visit Taipei. Thank you for your exceptional services.🥰

United StatesThe location is on the 26th floor of Asia Plaza Tower. This wasn't written anywhere so our Uber driver stopped at the wrong place until he had to call the front desk himself for directions. Their CC machine to pay was also broken and we were asked to pay in cash. Thankfully, they gave us an alternative option to pay by card later.
Super comfortable, spacious, and exactly like the pictures. Loved the location too, easy to get anywhere by foot or metro/MRT. Rooms are extremely quiet. Bathroom is large and equipped.
