Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeNo meals are provided and location is a bit out of the way. Can get pretty quiet and a little scary if you are staying as a solo traveller. Would not recommend if you are traveling alone.
The owner of the guest house was very kind to drive me to the nearest town; Shizhuo to take a bus there to head to Alishan or Fenqihu. They also picked up me from the same place in Shizhuo to head back to the guest house. On a good day, you can see the sunrise from the common area on lvl 6.

SingaporeWe spent 2 nights here and it was an enjoyable time for my tea-loving husband. Our room on the 6th floor was cosy and the room and amenities were tastefully designed and prepared. Beautiful mountain view along the corridor. Thank u to Jia Chenh and tea master and family for warmly hosting us and sharing their tea and tea knowledge!

SwedenEverything was excellent. We travelled by bus, the bus between Alishan and Chiayi stops just minutes from the place. The location is a bit off but the owners gave us rides to restaurants and trails and were all in all extremely helpful. We were invited to a tea tasting session and they showed us parts of the tea making process in their own factory. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. We are so grateful for the time we spent. Thank you.

Location was pretty good and the owners were extremely hospitable. As it was firefly season, they even offered to drive us down to see the fireflies which was a great experience. The tea appreciation session is worth the hype too. Thank you for the pleasant stay! Will definitely be back.

SingaporeThe most fantastic thing about the B&B is the morning view of the mountains, which we can view directly in front of our room on the 6th floor. The room is big and the bed is comfortable. The location is good as there is a restaurant beside the hotel that offers a natural organic dinner with their locally produced tea leaves and a cafe in front of the hotel serves good coffee. The owner offered to send and pick us up from the nearby Shi Zhuo town where we took a bus to the Alishan Railway.

South KoreaRoom: The room was clean and had everything I needed. The beds were clean and the location was quiet. The room had a view out the back of the hillside. Staff: The staff were so friendly. Multiple times offered (and did) pick me up in Shizhao (which is a place with more bus connections). Also, be sure to ask them about tea and to have a tea tasting. It's a great way to spend some time to get to know them and their tea business. Also, they do have tea for sale. Also, ask them about dinner at the place next door. I had my favorite meal of my time in Taiwan at that restaurant. A course meal with a set price with traditional taiwanese dishes. Location: As I said above, it's about a 20 minute walk from Shizhao, so likely it's best to take the pickups offered from the staff to get to and from Shizhao if wanting to connect to other locations in the Alishan area. If you do decide to walk from the B&B to Shizhao, just know that there aren't sidewalks on the way and not much room to keep away from the vehicles on the road. From the B&B, Alishan is about a 45 minute bus ride to the alishan recreation area. There is a bus stop about 3 minutes walk from the B&B (dingyongxing), however, buses there aren't very frequent, so better to go to the stop in Shizhao. This B&B though does have a nice view from the 6th floor overlooking the mountains and can watch the sunrise from the resting area on the 6th floor. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here.

SingaporeLocation was slightly out of the way, 1.5km from Shizhao bus stop which is the main bus stop but it is not possible to walk on the roads. Karsing was very nice to charter us back and forth to the bus stop. There is another bus stop nearer to the B&B as well. The toilet had a bit of a smell and not the best ventilation after you’re done with it.
Stunning view of the sunrise from the lobby area! It was very convenient to get to Alishan from the area. The rooms were very spacious with a seating area even. It was extremely value for money. Karsing was very friendly and easy to liaise with! There’s a water refill area at the main lobby which was very convenient too. As we had arrived earlier than the check in time and the rooms weren’t ready, Karsing offered to drive us to the starting point of Mist Trail, we enjoyed it so much and it was a very pleasant way to spent our afternoon, with amazing views of tea fields! Would highly recommend the trails around the area.

United KingdomLovely, well-kept B&B. The staff were incredibly friendly and were kind enough to offer to pick me up from the nearby village after dinner as it was raining, and then drove me to a bus stop the next morning so I could catch a bus to Alishan. I felt very welcomed and really enjoyed my stay!

United StatesWe didn't rent a car and took buses, you really have to plan timing of buses and coordinate drop offs which was super helpful. If road tripping, I think this is a great home base to experience Alishan nature and tea!
Tea Cloud B&B is literally in the clouds and such a lovely spot to stay in. We were hoping to experience a unique stay in Alishan and definitely got that at Tea Cloud. The hotel has beautiful large windows that overlook the mountains and you can catch a nice view of sunrise or watch the clouds come in or immerse you. Karsing and his family are really lovely and he showed us his tea farm and shared some tea with us in the evening. We bought some delicious black tea and oolong to take home with us. He was also very accommodating and dropped us off at the bus station for our visit to Alishan National Park and when we were leaving to Fenqihu to catch the Alishan Express Train as well as recommend some wonderful local restaurants for meals. The rooms are also very beautiful and clean.

SingaporeThe host and his family are so caring and nice. As we didn’t have a car, they fetched us to and fro bus stop and restaurants. All our queries about food, restaurants, transportation and tourist attractions were replied very quickly via WhatsApp. The accommodation is very quiet, well equipped, clean and very Zen. Love it very much to see the sun rising just in front of our room. We could use the washing machine and dryer. The host has a very beautiful tea farm. He brought us for a very enjoyable and enriching tour around the farm. This was the best accommodation of our 14 days trip in Taiwan.

CanadaNot sure why there was no breakfast available at the time we were there, but owners gave us vouchers instead to use anywhere in the area.
Lovely family run hotel in great location for getting up to Alishan. Owners were amazingly helpful, kind and caring, especially when I needed taking to a medical clinic urgently. Great lounge available for socializing and viewing the sunrise. Excellent home cooked dinner was available next door, followed by a cool tea tasting session with the owners. Rooms very nice, with neat little Japanese style tables to sit at and have tea.
