Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanRoom was full of mirrors and not the cleanest, but the staff was helpful. Bathroom was elongated and tub was in a narrow space. Hotel made do with the space it had. Internet was a bit wonky.
Location to night market is great.

United StatesRoom for three people was a bit tight. More space would be better.
Great location close to MRT station, Raohe night market, and transport to Jiufen, Shifen, Keelung via Uber. Breakfast served in the hotel was reasonably priced and had a good variety of dishes.

United KingdomIts location at a major traffic junction is a little curious - our room looked out over an elevated freeway... There was no noise, however. Just a little odd as a choice of location.
Everything you would want. Nice breakfast, and it is also close to a night market. The room facilities were fine, and the bed was very comfortable.

We stayed in a well-furnished clean room with a well-designed bathroom. Towels and bathrooms are well-maintained, staff were helpful, breakfast at TWD200 per person was good value and the buffet spread was adequate.

Malaysia1) quirky East facing bedroom shaped like a teardrop ! Very odd although I managed to make it work. No hint that I would be allocated this room as my booking was only called standard room...same room for my daughter but one floor below as this shape had only of each kind per floor... 2) Hotel squarely faced a spaghetti junction of 6 expressways at a MAJOR junction and I nearly had a heart attack but the noise insulation on all the main windows was effective in the end. They warned us there was no way to change rooms as they were sold out and said we could try another day but too boring and tiring. 3) NO hooks in the bathroom so towels were always changed daily as we could not even hang them for a 2nd use ? Very very odd. All self-respecting hotels around the world have hooks. I had no choice but to get hangers out of the wardrobe and use those best I could. It feels very counterintuitive to the climate to keep on throwing towels in cleaning after one time usage....The ceiling ventilation for while you were using the bathroom was very very noisy and not particularly effective. In addition, the room could not be heated properly as the system would default to 20 centi even if you tried to raise the temperature so I suspect it was overall faulty. 4) Effective yesterday, CitySuites was getting rid of ALL toiletry provisions in the room so you would need combs, shower caps, toothbrushes, ear cotton buds....Good luck future guests ! They cited the climate which I think is very funny bearing in mind the No TOWEL HOOK fiasco.... 5) Cleaning staff a bit erratic. Inspite of leaving the "Do not Disturb"signage switched on, a lady barged in to clean my room as I came back from breakfast and needed to do things....I did not shout at her but it felt weird. She swore in broken English that I left the "Clean Room" sign on.....
Breakfast and staff were outstanding especially James and many other front reception whose names I could not see as they were not wearing badges. Breakfast had nice daily variants for different dishes, lovely local fruits etc. although they could have done a bit better on jams and spreads. Perhaps some honey would be nice. A huge boost for City Suites was the 24 hour coffee machine and fresh water supply in the main lounge so all guests could benefit from the infrastructure. Love to return and the only hesitation would be in the location itself right at the Eastern edge of the main city area and restaurants were few and far between. Having said that, excellent inexpensive bus connections to many many tourist areas. One thing to remember overall is the command of English is not so great but they make up for it in kindness.

United StatesGood place to stay if ur a runner given the river and its trails are a short walk after crossing the street About an easy 10 min walk to the subway. Unlike every other hotel I stayed in, even among 5*, the b'fast menu changed every day, which was refreshing. Was there 4 nights.
