Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe elevator situation is quite bad. There was a line of around 30 people waiting for elevators from the lobby down to the ground floor around checkout time. In general, having to change elevators constantly to get out is a pain. The pool was also so cold it felt like an ice plunge. Did not feel swimmable for the average person.
The service was really excellent - most efficient and best quality housekeeping I can remember seeing. Facilities were lovely and very stylish with great views - it was a great comfortable room, but also very attractive lobby and public spaces. Kids also loved the climbing structure by the bookstore. Nice to see so much art in the hotel and around it.

United StatesNothing. It was awesome!
The coolest hotel I have ever stayed at. The lobby is magnificent. The room was gorgeous. The pool and gym were amazing. The breakfast was one of the best and most extensive I've had. Every room in this building has a wonderful view.

NetherlandsA highlight of my trip around all of Taiwan. Easily the best breakfast situation I've had in the world, too! Rooms were massive, impeccably clean. Views unparalleled. If you're lucky enough to have pool weather, it will be the best swimming experience you could ask for, swimming amongst the skyscrapers.

AustraliaNothing. It was all excellent.
This is an excellent hotel. The rooms and facilities are top notch, the staff are friendly and helpful and the location is convenient to the city tram and airport. The rooms are in a modern Japanese style and well set out with plenty or room and light. The restaurants are excellent and we had the best Japanese food I have had outside Japan in a long time. The spa was impressive and reasonably priced.

HungaryMaybe the confusing elevator here then elevator there to reach your room. The airconditioning was too cold in the restaurant where the breakfast was.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Huge and very clean room with bath tub right next the window to enjoy city views! Would stay here again!

United KingdomThe lifts are really slow and you have to go the 25th floor and then across the lobby to go down in another lift to the rooms - it wasn't a major inconvenience and the lobby looks fab, just felt a little long after hours of tourist walking! Metro is about ten mins walk away - but I mainly used uber in this city and there was always one about 2 mins away.
Very sleek looking hotel, a bit like a gallery in the public areas and yes the swimming pool will sit nicely on your instagram feed (although there were a lot of "insta girls" having photo sessions!) - the Long Island iced tea is pretty strong at the bar there as well! The room was amazing - very big and spacious, comfy beds, lots of mood lighting options (which you will play with as it makes the room look good) and of course that raised Japanese tea room right by the window over looking the neon city - I felt like I was in Blade Runner. Mix of business and tourist clientele so a smart casual vibe, reminded me very much of the smarter Singapore hotels, all sleek and well operated. Great value for money I was surprised it was this high end for the price I paid.

AustraliaUnfortunately the pool on the 24th floor was closed due to typhoon damage. A great shame as this was the main reason I originally selected Tai Urban Kaohsiung. But that’s nature for you!
A very stylish, modern hotel. Our room was beautifully appointed. Great inhouse dining, with views from the 26th floor.

AustriaBreakfast was very limited and in a quite bland uncomfortable hall - did definitely not match the rest of the hotel. Would just go out for breakfast next time. Also, room service was only available until 22:00h, there should be at least a few 24/7 options.
Was a very nice luxury hotel with respective facilities. Giant gym. Very friendly staff. Got stuck there in a Taifun and had to extend the stay, was no problem at all. Would definitely recommend but leave out the breakfast (see below).

First, their view is pretty good. No any obstacle blocks Kaohsiung harbor. You will have impressed with the books on the shelves and a picture made up of some pipes at the 1st floor. There is the concierge hosted by the hotel only. Their lobby is located at 25th floor, which you could have another view on the harbor. With some art deco near the lobby, there are Japanese restaurant, tea, cigar and club lounge at the same floor. The room makes the guests excited since they have Japanese tea room inside the space. You could enjoy the tea time with some special biscuits. No mention of the SPA, swimming pool, bar and library service. Each guest will receive the coupon for the restaurants inside the building, each of them with the high quality like the hotel itself. One special bartending with alcohol-free is called ‘TAI-star Romance’ from BAR BAR, 24th floor, where it is next to the swimming pool. You should stay there with it. That drink contains 3-layer, the top 2 will let you see a beautiful sky at the night.
