The walls and shower could enjoy a freshening-up, but that didn’t bother me much.

The general cleanliness, the common areas including kitchen where you can cook, the comfortable (!) bed, the bikes and washing machine free for use, and free tea, coffee and snacks. It was pretty empty during my stay so a good place to be at the moment if you want to catch some deep sleep.

Owner was friendly, helped us move our luggages. The toilet was cleaned everyday. But maybe to be improved is the toilet’s dampness or smell. Other than that, very nice place to stay

Location was a bit far from the city (but close to the park so at least that was nice). Beds weren't made, you have to do it yourself - this isn't such a problem but we only noticed when we came to sleep late at night and it was hard to do in the dark room and without making noise.

Large common areas that were comfortable. Great shared kitchen. Free bikes and laundry.

It is a beautiful hostel with everything you need and in case you need some support don't hesitate to ask the staff. They gave me some great tips and helped me with all my questions. You can borrow a bike to explore the city and its surroundings. It takes some minutes to get to the beach, especially if you walk but I really liked the location because it was quiet and easily reachable by bus.

The place is spacious, cozy, clean and fragrant. The owner was quickly available by phone. There are free cookies, coffee and tea in the kitchen. There are also colored pens and pencils for painting. Bicycles are also freely available. Due to an accident in which I lost my mobile phone, I had to stay longer. The owner accommodated me even without ordering and went with me to the store to buy a new mobile phone - this was so nice as without phone and language skills it was hard for me. The hospital for treatment is also very close :-) During my stay I felt as at home. It was quiet, clean and I had everything I needed. I fully recommend.

Very nice host. He provided me with good transportation arrangements and recommendations despite unexpected situations due to typhoon. Good facilities, especially free bicycles for ride, which is essential in Taitung.

It was pretty solid.

Very friendly staff, after one night I felt like I had lived there for several years. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Good spaces to relax and chat with travelers as well as a nice kitchen, free bikes to use and it was in a solid location.

It was so to Move around the city with the free bicycles. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds were soft, the mattress was not hard mattress as I like it but this depends on everyone. The room was clean as well as the toilet. The owner was not around that much bc he had a newborn but was very helpful.

Navel Orange Hostel is a very nice place to stay over night. The hostel is really clean, same with the room and the bathroom. On the 2nd floor, there is even a common room to play board games and meet other guests. We stayed there as a small break before going to Green Island. I do recommend this place to stay with no doubt!

Communal areas on 1F and 2F with lots of places to sit, eat and talk. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Water, tea, instant coffee and snacks available for free. Bedrooms and bathrooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Bikes available for free (I think!). More a place to go with friends rather than meet new friends. Nice, large kitchen, I think you can use to cook. Could leave bags pre check-in and post check-out. Great value for money. Owner spoke some English.

There were some ants. They were in the female dorm. Otherwise, it was very nice

The staff was nice. There was only one other person in my dorm, so it was nice & quiet. I loved the privacy curtain that wrapped around the lower bunk where I stayed. Bathrooms were small, but clean.

The location is a bit far from the center, but at least for me it wasn't a problem. You can still use the bikes or walk.

Low season, so we were only two in a room. They have a bike to borrow, which is very useful. The staff is really nice and very helpful.

It’s hard to find, not listed in English on Google maps. Kitchen is a bit out of date and needs to be a bit cleaner. Mattress was not to comfy, could feel the springs inside

The hostel was clean and felt very welcoming. We had two nice and quiet nights. We could use the hostel bikes for free, which meant that we could get to the city center in only 7 minutes. Check-in and check-out went smoothly.
