The property was fine, however it was the other tenants that were a bit of a challenge. It seemed like sometimes the homeless use the facilities to get a bed and shower, they were friendly and harmless but they were shifting about the room, walking in between the bunks and murmuring to themselves all throughout the night making it hard to sleep and rest. While it’s a cheap way to be off the streets and get clean a bit, it wasn’t very nice to the staying in the same dorm with them. And that is what happens if you stay in a shared dorm, the chance of meeting people with different habits, either you get along or don’t, and this time was a bit tiresome.

The staff were informative and friendly, the beds were clean and facilities were clean but the shared space is quite cluttered.

Building looks old, our chosen room for our family didn't have windows. They should install a shower curtain to avoid water from being all over the toilet and bath.

The fan in the room was a little loud for me and the toilet door was close to my bunk. Also, I got a flat tire on 2 of the bikes so please check before you set off exploring.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Nice location in the heart of the shopping area. They have bicycles to use and a nice map with all the nice areas to go eating and shopping.

The room was slightly shabbier than depicted in the photo and could use a touch up of paint - there was also no mini fridge which is something to note if you plan on bringing food back to the property and leave overnight. But for the price we paid, this was good value and we'd be happy to come back for short stays.

We were upgraded to a larger room (for 3) despite booking a twin bed at the last minute, which was very lovely of the staff. The room was very spacious and the staff were very flexible with check-in and letting us leave our luggage on-site prior to check-in. This is in a good central location with the bus stop very close by. Best of all, there are no odd smells (beware: there are a few budget hotels in Tainan that smell very strongly of smoke and this was the reason we had to switch to this hotel after the first night at our original booking).

Middle upper bunk bed lacked any privacy. No curtains and it was so close to one of the other upper bunk beds that the other person could even touch you

Staff was wonderful ! I received lots of great tips for delicious local food in the area :) Location is also excellent, in the middle of the nightlife area, hostel is quiet though.

2nd time I stay at this property. Amazing super kind staff that try to make your trip nicer. Very large rooms. Very interesting location. Very good value. Also, the free rental bicycles were a complete game changer and made our trip a lot better. Super appreciated!

The lockers in the shared dormitories for storing luggage don't come with locks. The bathroom, while serviceable, had a small leak by the toilet, and I saw a few ants. I believe the hotel is run by a family, so there is no full-time staff at the front desk. Thus, I had to wait for a few minutes for the owner to arrive to be able to check in.

The hostel lobby is very warm and inviting. The bed was very soft and comfortable. The location is wonderful, just a few blocks away from the shops and restaurants of the Shennong Street area. The rooms are air-conditioned, with towel and slippers provided. The owner was very welcoming. The price is very good for what you get, and I'd definitely stay here again if solo-traveling in Tainan.

There is not always someone at the front, so checking in took some time, but we were able to leave the luggages anyway. The room was overall very clean, but the shower area had some mold. It's nothing if you aren't too concerned by that, but if for example you are allergic it's probably not the best.

The hotel is in a really good position to visit Tainan (very close to a few main touristic spots and only 20 minutes of bus away from Anping). The room was spacious and nicely decorated, the bed was really comfortable and we had a lot of commodities included in the price. There is also the possibility of renting bikes, which is a big plus! The staff was very nice :)

A bit cold in the room in winter without heating. There's no daily room service. The door of the room is damaged so it can be opened with a trick easily. Quite noisy besides the main street.

-ve 1. I caught an adult cockroach (蟑螂) in the room. This is one big creepy minus point to bring the entire hygiene level. 2. Six empty out of eights beds are not really tidied even after check-in time.

Front desk lady staff is entertaining and extremely helpful. 3. Basic toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap), towel, slippers given. 4. Pricing is reasonable for a dormitory bed per night. 5. Water dispenser available on the first floor. 6. Staff allowed me to check-in early. Which is a big plus point! 7. Bicycle available to use freely.

- not enough counter space in the room; only one table, a few stools and 2 chairs. With a room for up to 4 people, there is nowhere to place anything except on the floor and we had to electronics and toiletries on the very limited counter space - definitely was a challenge - cleanliness wasn’t the greatest- bed sheets looks a bit yellowish on some parts - bathroom is very dated -

You hear some sound, from outside and inside, but honestly, this is standard for Taiwan - you won’t find a place this prize range with soundproofing.

I loved the staff, very sweet and helpful. Recommended where to go for eating and asked about my day, made me feel very welcome. Location is great, this is the area you want to be in for eating and sightseeing. Taxi from train station 100-130 TWD (not really walkable with big bag). Free bike rental. Big room, clean, confortable bed, sheets and towels provided. I will stay here if I come back and recommend this place to everyone! One of my favourite places I stayed in Taiwan!
