Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Hong Kong1. 7pm is official check-in time while 11am is official check-out time -> too late as it's totally dark by 7pm. It should be latest by 3pm. 2. No other public transport to the hotel except the hotel shuttle -> you better call them if you have lugguages 3. The bathroom is a bit small for Room 201 4. No Lift is available but stair (Staff will help to move the luggage up to the Room in Check-in but not likely in Check-out as they are busy) 5. Traditional Key is used not Access Card 6. Comfy double bed but not King/Queen size 7. No eateries nearby but near Xinbeitou MRT or along GuangMing Road towards Beitou Market
1. Free shuttle bus service upon calling the hotel [Free calling from Tourism Centre at Xinbeitou MRT, else 3 TWDs from telephone kiosk] 2. 3 mins walk to Thermal Valley, 15 mins walk from Xinbeitou MRT (up the hill), 10 mins walk to Xinbeitou MRT (down the hill) 3. Spacious Room for Standard Double Room 4. Additional hanging facilities for clothes other than wardrobe 5. Quiet Environment even facing to the road 6. Good Wifi signal and air-con within the Room 7. Good breakfast (congee, soyabean milk, coffee, bread and local delicacies) but repeated every alternate day 8. Hot Spring Water is always available

SingaporeProperty could do with a refurbishment. Storage seems to be insufficient as kitchen ingredients are stored in the dining area (which is small to begin with) and towels & linen along the staircase on L3.
Hotspring bath in the room was appreciated. The staff were helpful and could recommend how to get to Yangmingshan and other areas of interest. They were also attentive and helped to order breakfast items from outside on our third day to provide us with variety in the menu.

South Koreanot a big deal and it changes my good impression on this hotel but.. if there would be a minor things to be improved, hope that there were a bigger refrigerator (so small to put some beverages & fruits that we bought outside) & better sound proof door in the room. setting aside these two, this hotel was defenitely value for money and clean & comfy to stay
kind & english speaking staffs spacious & clean room & onsen local breakfast was good and gave a good chance to experience taiwan local dishes without walking to far to the subway station.

MalaysiaRoom had a strange (musty?) smell (could be the sulphur) and deco looked like it was done by 5 different people from 5 different eras.
The room had 2 separate bathtubs, super worth it for this alone, perfect for families. Breakfast was traditional n delicious Free shuttle for pick ups from the shin beitou train station ( can ask the tourist help desk at the station to call for you )

VietnamThe bathroom was old, understandably, as the establishment was built a long time ago, but could be refurbished.
We booked the 6 person room and stayed there as a group of three adults. Room came with a bed and floor bedding futon. The bed was so soft and the futons were soft as well. For three people, the room was spacious, we could move around comfortably. (For 6 it would be tight, I think, depending on the size). We were given the choice to choose/upgrade to an onsen that was set outdoors. It was beautiful and such a relaxing experience. Soaking and just watching the steam rise up. Breakfast was included. A simple light breakfast, delicious.

United Statesthe bed did have a huge soft spot in the center, which caused me to accidentally elbow my boyfriend in the ribs when I was trying to get up. but the sleeping sides (if you sleep side by side) were good comfort.
we loved the personal hot tub, the free shuttle like everyone has mentioned from the MRT station. but a couple times, such as going to Tamsui or when we were checking out to go to Taipei City, the drivers went above and beyond to just taking us to Beitou station, instead of XinBeiTou due to less trains running. for them to go out of their way to even do that shows how hospitable the drivers were to guests of the hotel! really appreciate that. also, despite what others have said, we really liked the Taiwanese breakfast style. you don’t go to a hotel in an Eastern Culture to just get Western food options; we really liked trying everything, especially because my boyfriend is not Taiwanese and it was amazing hospitality from the head chef lady (an older lady with glasses). the hot springs bath was PERFECT. the smell was NOT that sticking on your body, as I’d been afraid of after reading other reviews, and was extremely refreshing. the room was extremely clean and the indoor slippers were a nice touch thank you guys for a wonderful stay! i would definitely stay here again in any future visits to Beitou.

Hong KongIt is not my first time to stay in a hot spring hotel but it's the only hotel which doesn't provide normal hot water. It doesn't have a separate shower room so you have to clean your body in the bath tub and have your hot spring bath at the same tub. I think it's a bit inconvenient and I have a smell of sulphur for 2 days (I'm ok with it but I think some people may not like it). The sound proof is not good and I can hear people chat in my bathroom.
The hotel is close to the thermal valley, which means that it's not close to the metro station. The hotel provides shuttle service from the metro station to the hotel but we didn't take it cos we wanted to walk a bit uphill as a small workout. Every room has its own thermal bath so you can enjoy your hot spring moment anytime you want. There is a convenient store within a few minutes walking distance and 2-3 small restaurants near the hotel. The room is decorated in a Japanese style which I love it. And the price is budget too.

United KingdomUnfortunately the walls are very thin so the hotel is really loud. We could hear people talking and walking around until 11.30pm when we had to complain and the owner kindly moved us to somewhere a bit quieter. It was very dated and so it didn’t feel clean.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. There was a free shuttle service from the train station to the hotel
