The common area is huge with enough seats and tables to accommodate many.

The only issue was the location if you don’t have a car. You need to walk to the station about 20 mins and then catch the bus into the city which takes a long time. If you get a really good price as I did then it’s worth it. Sometimes they have sales. But if you have luggage and no car then it’s hard. I rented a bike for the day and used it to get everywhere but it took time. It’s best to stay near the bus station if you can and not the train station.

Location is next to the train station so if you stay 1 or 2 nights it is perfect. Otherwise there is a bus and the stop is really close to the hotel if you want to join the city center.

We were able to check in earlier at our arrival thanks to the staff who gave us another room for 3 people that was already cleaned. Shared spaces were spacious enough, it was convenient.

The beds were comfy and the staff was nice. Check in is very late but you can leave the luggage at the counter. The problem is the location it is fr from train station and city center as well. So better choose something different. The busses only run every hour.

The room smells a bit terrible. I suspect the bed sheets and pillowcases are not throughly cleaned ! I couldn’t sleep well at night because I don’t find the bed clean enough.

It is about 1 bus stop away from Taitung Train Station, a bit far to walk with luggage but stll doable. You can't take a taxi there (I tried because my partner wasnt feeling well), but taxi drivers queueing at the train station refused to take us because the distance is too short for them. They only want passengers going into town (about 15 - 20 minutes ride). Do not stay near Taitung Train station, nothing much here. Definitely stay near the Taitung Bus Station in town instead.

Drinking water machine provided. Check in counter was not manned at 12pm on the day we arrived, but as there was some renovation going on, the reno guy told us we could leave our suitcase 😑

There was a smell of poo from the walls, had trouble figuring out where this smell came from when we entered the room.

The space was nice and the set-up of our triple room provided a little privacy between each bed, as well as enough outlets for all of us to use. Staff was accommodating and let us luggage storage before check-in and after check-out. Common space has many appliances guests can use and is kept very clean. Free parking on-site is a plus too.
