Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NamibiaThe family designer room had no closet or shelves for packing out belongings, with only two wall hooks to hang clothes - leaving half the floor filled with open suitcases. There was also no desk and chair (as in photos) with only a tiny coffee table and coach with a kids plastic play table and chairs, which is not comfortable for a family staying for for more than a night or two. We requested from staff a small table but there was none available.
Facilities for children are great for young children up untill age 7 or 8.

SingaporeThe noisy aircon compressor is just outside an opening right next to the bed. The establishment probably needs a renovation soon.

Singapore1. Pillows were too soft. 2. Wifi was not working smoothly. Had to inform the front desk to resolve the issue- which they did. 3. Aircon can be noisy
1. Complementary tea time. 2. Location- nearest MRT was Formosa Boulevard which is quite convenient to go to many places from there. Liaohe Night market was a two minutes walk from here. 3. Breakfast was basic but decent.

United KingdomThe staff wouldn’t speak to me in English and kept only speaking to my partner in Chinese. The toilets can’t flush paper so you’re stuck with poo in a bin next to you until they clean the room, which won’t happen daily unless you request it.
The room was large and modern with a lot of space

AustraliaThe decor was extremely dated and not reflective of what was advertised in the photos. The cleaning was only done every other day even though we toggled the light "Make Up Room".
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was extremely spacious for the price. The hotel offers a playroom for the kids on level 3 which was excellent.

JapanRooms themselves are a little dated. We stayed in the worldmap and animals themed room on the 6th floor. Strange choices like hiding windows and the balcony door behind faux walls gave the property a feeling of trying to imitate a high-end hotel, but only on a very superficial level. They used a lot of modern components, colors, and furniture, but without the eye of an interior designer to tie them together, the whole feeling felt a little off.
Value was fantastic. The rooms felt very spacious for the price. Staff was incredibly friendly and tried their best to make the stay pleasant. I would recommend this location on the location and value alone - a fantastic choice if the intent is to explore as much of the city as possible while minimizing time spent in the hotel.

SingaporeThe interior is pretty dated and you cannot really adjust the aircon temperature (even though you bring down the temperature, the actual temperature will not change) - this makes the room pretty warm especially during the hot summer in Taiwan.
The hotel provides breakfast which is pretty good and the breakfast spread was decent. It was quite near the Formosa MRT.

New ZealandWe stayed here because the photos on their website looked lovely and by calling themselves the Design Hotel we booked for 3 nights. It was poorly designed and tacky, vanity and bathroom tap very poorly thought out as water dripping everywhere when used. Air Cond didn't work well, TV/internet service slow and inefficient, had to ask to be serviced. The most expensive place we paid for in Taiwan, 4 star hotel in Taipei much better value and comfortable. Breakfast is nice though, good spread of choices and location is fairly good being opposite the convenient Mart and Farmosa Boulevard MRT is 10 mins away. Would not recommend anyone looking for a quality hotel with stylish decor, cheaply designed!
Not much except breakfast and location. Please read below of what we don't like about the place.

NorwayThe mattrass in the Ferrari bed WAS TO HARD, MY KID COULD NOT SLEEP The room was weird down, your maintenance is not good enough, you need to hire a better caretaker team AND the breakfast was bad, almost only asian food, and a hint of english breakfast. You forgot about your European customers who want healthy food and not English fatty sausages
Size of the room was very good and Kaohsiung is a nice city
