Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

TaiwanThe hot springs were okay, although we'd appreciate a better view from the public hot springs balcony for the price of everything.
The staff was fantastic—very kind and informative. The food was okay, but very big portions! It's a cool area to hang out with friends.

TaiwanPublic baths are a bit dated, but still pretty nice. Restaurant only has hot pot options.
The suite was spacious and the bath was a great feature overlooking the river and mountains. Location is quiet and relatively easy to find. Staff was very friendly and most had at least some English ability

ItalyThere was one (expensive) vending machine that worked only with the assistance of the staff. It would be nice to have a vending machine available 24h. Also we saw the prices for the dinner, we though that it was expensive for the service offered. 550 NTD for a vegetarian hotpot for two people is expensive for the area, even with a serving of frozen pork meat.
The calming place and the quiet of the hotel. The breakfast had a lot of options and the water from the spa was fenomenal.

Hong KongThere was no evening activities provided by the hotel . The garden area was too simple .
There is not much choice, of dishes . Only dark coffee is served. I expect there are latte , expresso and cuperccino as in other hotels . The shabushabu dinner on the other hand was very good .

Singaporedo note rooms are in 3-4 storey buildings that are walk-ups. No lift.V
The stay was in a totally natural setting in Tai an. Loved the entrance which had a suspension bridge to the hotel. We could use the common hot spring pool and hotel provided extra towels n changing rooms. Remember to bring your own swimwear n swimcap, but reception does sell if u forgot. Dinner on the premise is available if u booked by 5pm. Rooms were clean n comfortable. Breakfast spread was good enough.

United StatesThe parking is far away from the hotel means you have to carry your luggage. One way Eva helped us with her car but on the other day the desk lady told us with broken English to carry it by our self after we carried our heavy luggage down the 3 floors since there is no elevator. The room is very poor, dull and old equipped. The photons are far from the reality and the breakfast is just Chinese style.
The nature around is beautiful

United StatesI just suggest bringing some Epsom salts to add to the water. The baths are made of stone, which is porous and harder to clean than porcelain. I got a small rash 2-4 days after my stay. I soaked for a total of about 3 combined hours, so maybe that had something to do with it. I will personally just bring a bag of Epsom salts next time to add to the water. The magnesium in those salts help relax the muscles anyway and they have an antiseptic effect.
The large spacious rooms were great! The baths were in a separate room. Very nice! Overall, this place is one of top 5 "gems" I've found in Taiwan for lodging. (I've stayed at over 70 different lodging places in Taiwan.) It has a beautiful unique surrounding and peaceful atmosphere. The "honeymoon" suites are the way to go!

FinlandAs the hotspring pools are inside the room, it takes a toll. The rooms smelled damp, humid and a bit mouldy. Despite the suites were newer, furniture was outdated already and for example on the armchair/sofa there was dust that you could wipe with your finger tip. Food served was a bit so so.
The suites have a nice set up with the cool and hot pool, and your own balcony. Bed was comfortable. The staff was absolutely doing their all for your comfort during the stay, thanks to them.

SingaporeIt's challenging to drag a 20kg luggage across the bridge from the carpark. For guests arriving from overseas, it would be good to repack and just bring along what you need for the stay, or call the hotel in advance to pick up your luggage instead. The suspended bridge is not for the faint-hearted as it is built over the waters. The scenario is beautiful though! 😍 Noted that bedroom curtains of Suite 301 and 302 are not of blind-out materials. It's translucent and could see through from the corridor into the bedroom. Would be great if the curtains could be upgraded to give guests more privacy.
Our overall stay was nothing short of fantastic. The honeymoon suite exceeded our expectations with its spaciousness and absolute comfort. The added luxury of an onsen within the room made our experience truly memorable. I must commend the outstanding customer service, particularly Joseph (Ming Han), whose exceptional attitude made a remarkable difference. His proactive approach in guiding us for our anniversary dinner was beyond expectations. His dedication and positive demeanor truly reflect the epitome of hospitality. Kudos to Hu Shan Hot Spring Hotel for having such an incredible asset in their team! In conclusion, our stay at Hu Shan Hot Spring Hotel was nothing less than exceptional. From the remarkable suite to the unparalleled service, it made our special occasion even more memorable. We highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a blend of comfort, luxury, and exemplary service. A huge thumbs-up from us!👍🏻

TaiwanCold breakfast, that could have been kept warm. Watery coffee. No heat in the very cold room. The hot spring water was not hot enough, neither in the public or in the private bath. No slippers for going to the public hot spring pool, though the staff complained that we wore the wrong slippers. And the dishes were not properly washed, including the restaurant and the breakfast buffet dishes (dried pieces of food in the rice bowls and on the chopsticks). Floor in the dining hall sticky. Bathtub drains to fill the bathroom floor.
All the trees were nice.
