Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandThe hotel staff installed an air dryer without me asking for it. This was the perfect welcome for me and my soaked clothes after a long rainy day outside. Thank you very much!

MalaysiaThe bathroom abit dirty for me( The curtains in the toilet are moldy and make me feel uncomfortable). Our trip was to Taroko and Dongdamen Night Market, and we passed through a large cemetery. It also made me feel uncomfortable late at night. The Location abit far from town.

TaiwanThe bathroom is a little wet for there is only a shower curtain. With the strong water pressure, water is splashed all over the bathroom floor.
This place is about 15 minutes of walk from XinCheng Train Station. Other than this place does not provide breakfast everything else is great for the money. The room is pretty sizeable with very tall ceiling. The A/C is very quiet and the air is very comfortable for sleeping. Two large windows can be opened to let fresh air in. The hot shower has strong water pressure. The snack bar has cookies and instant noodle for FREE. They provide free water, free coffee, free toothbrush, etc. etc. They really have you covered. This place is only 5 minutes walk to the ocean/beach. Very quiet at night. Five minutes walk to the old town where you can find a few restaurants. You should also go to the roof of the building to watch the sunrise if weather permits. This is probably the tallest building in this whole neighborhood and it got really nice view to the east (Pacific Ocean) and west (the mountains). There is a bus stop literally at the front door where you can take #1129 to the Taroko National Park Visitor Center. To see the bus schedule, just zoom in on the Google Maps till you see the bus stop icon and click on it. Both buses #1129 & #1133 would take you to the visitor center. We took the 8:30 AM #1129 which took about 15-20 minutes to reach the visitor center for about a dollar for the bus fare. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who is interested to visit Taroko National Park.

TaiwanThere are no parking spaces for our car. However, it's easy to leave your car on street sides. So the only thing that I hate to do is to leave the place!
This is a quiet little town at night. You will find peace here in the early morning walk along the seaside or around the main street. Though Memories Hotel does not serve breakfast, you will not be hungry at any time. There is a free snack bar in the dining room, and there are some great food stands in town, too.

United StatesWhatever cleaning product is used in the bathroom has a fairly strong smell. Not a bad smell, just a bit strong so that it's a bit much when you first open the door to the bathroom.
The room size was large for the price and included a seating area--rare at this price point. The common area downstairs has a water machine, coffee machine, and instant noodles/snacks 24/7, making it quite convenient. While a little ways out of the center of town, it is quite close to the entrance to Taroko National Park, making it possible to get an early start in the morning for those heading into the park. Staff was pleasant & helpful. There are power outlets in several places in the room, including either side of the bed.
