Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandDinner options are limited. Main restaurant is very expensive but they do have a bar menu which is cheaper and has a few nice options.
The staff working here are very nice and make you feel welcome. On arrival they provided a welcome drink and a voucher for a free drink at the rooftop bar. All drinks in the mini bar are complimentary. The rooftop swimming pool and jacuzzi are lovely with a nice view of the mountains. You can watch the sunrise from the rooftop and the hotel provide free cocoa and mini pastries which is a nice touch. The breakfast is excellent with a lot of choice both Western and Asian cuisine. Another great benefit is that the hotel run a free return shuttle bus for guests to Alishan Forest. Easy to get to the hotel using public transport as the bus stop is right outside the hotel.

AustraliaLocation may not be the best for some, but then it is quiet.. should have more spots for shuttle bus to different places They should have more in-house activities when it is raining....
Excellent hotel experience ... stayed in 2 hotels in Japan and 3 in Taiwan in this trip...all average above 800 AUD per night.... this one is probably the best... Nice pool Semi buffet at this altitude is very good

IndonesiaNo negatives, it was just a smaller hotel than expected
The rooftop swimming pool and bar had a nice view and heated water. The staff were helpful and recommended a great local restaurant nearby. The bath had tea instead of salt to put in the water, interesting touch.

AustraliaThe location of the Hotel is very isolated, no restaurants within walking distance outside the hotel. The design and material infrastructure of the hotel is very basic compared to other five star hotels in Taiwan. The rooftop swimming pool is poorly managed and very basic, hardly classified as a truly five stars hotel standard.

AustraliaI must express my disappointment with the hotel's location and the view from the "mountain view" room. The pictures on the website led me to believe that the hotel was situated in a serene and picturesque setting, but in reality, it is located in a rather ordinary town. This is a roadside hotel. While there are views of the mountains behind the town, they are partially obstructed by the building in front of the hotel. To capture the same view as shown in the pictures, one has to lie on the floor, which is not an ideal or comfortable position. I feel that this is a form of false advertising, as I paid a significant premium for a "mountain view" room but did not receive the unobstructed views that were promised. Additionally, the only restaurant in the hotel serves buffet-style meals at night, which may not be to everyone's taste. We personally prefer a more intimate dining experience and found the buffet setting to be somewhat chaotic and impersonal. The limited room service options, consisting of noodles and burgers, were also not very appealing. Despite these shortcomings, I must acknowledge the hotel's other positive aspects, such as the fantastic pool, excellent service, and well-appointed rooms. However, I would have reconsidered my decision to stay at this hotel had I known that I would miss the sunrise and sunset, which were the primary reasons for our visit to Alishan. I was quite sad to admit to my partner that I had messed up by choosing this hitek
Is is a very nice 5* hotel. But its wildly overpriced.

TaiwanLimited hours of food services, the staff are not helpful. For example the free welcome drink was only available at certain hours and only be consumed at the bar. No pool side services at all. The staff failed to inform us of the events happening on alishan park and caused schedule delays due to traffic.
The pool and view were nice.

SingaporeFelt cheated by the photos online. We purposely stayed a night there, got a better room in hope to get a nice mountain view but in the end the view was so bad! Asked the staff why the disparity, they couldn’t explain and say they are unable to change the room as the day’s booking was full. In addition, the service is poor as well. Upon arrival we had to load our own luggages into the trolley ourselves and dragged it to the lobby to do our check in. Very unpleasant experience.

Vietnami booked in ealy Jan for 25-27 Feb trip with Premium Sofa bed which cost up to 38,000 ntd/ night including breakfast for 2 adults & 1 child at 10 years old. The room photos showed wide window with beautiful moutain view. In reality, the window view to boring neighbourhood. I wrote feedback to Indigo, asking for correction on their advertising to be integrity. I asked them to make financial compensation for me but nothing happened. I m attaching here the room offer and the reality of room 522 window view.
