the breakfast selection is wonderful and the staff very effective and friendly. the swimming pool, jacuzzi and hot pool are also very good.

The location is excellent, just a few blocks away from MTR station, so anywhere is easily accessible. The hotel is clean and staffs were super friendly and helpful! Breakfast was good, they make dumplings and local delicacies when you order. I would definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Kaohsiung!

the organization of the breakfast, the request to book the time was not following to the possibility to enter in the breakfast area but we had to wait.

View from the room is very nice. Great location - with a few minutes walk from the MRT station and to the river side. The well-designed city library is right next to the hotel too. Breakfast is marvelous: a wide range of choices, especially perfect for who is eager for taiwanese cuisine.

We’re not able to check in at 2:40pm.. sat down for a drink/snack and only got the room key at 3:15pm. Not acceptable for an Intercontinental. Wanted to sit at a table in the lobby restaurant (Seed?) but waiter told us every single table we pointed to was reserved. Finally asked him if there are any available or was it just the bar seats and he finally confirmed that was the case (instead of just telling us at the beginning?)

Great location! Superb service! Facilities is the best among all the hotels i stayed in Taiwan! The combination of bath and city view is unwatchable. There is also complimentary beer. It deserves the reputation as the best in Kaohsiung for sure!

Equipments are modern and clean, but too many buttons for lights or curtains annoyed us a little bit, not knowing which one to push. You have several drawers but most of them were occupied with hotel amenity and so on, so it was difficult to put our own cloths. The bath towels were too large and too heavy, which was not very convenient to use.

Location was very good, serving persons were very helpful and easy to communicate.

Everything went well until Friday(28JUL) evening. When we came back after dinner, the parking was full. Then I stopped at the spacious front of the hotel, sitting in the car after drop off my 87 years old parents. I ask the concierge if I could wait there for the parking space and hope they could do some arrangements in the typhoon night. (As I knew the parking spaces were occupied by the dinning customers and that will soon be available.) Unfortunately, she said "No" and offer me to park at the outdoor parking across the street. I did not accept the offer because the parking is not convenient especially in typhoon days. Then I tried to ask the help from her supervisor. Her supervisor came and appeared to be impatient, said I could block the passage if I stop there and my car could be hit by fallen tree. I told him the passage was so wide even two cars can pass at the same time and fallen tree could hit my car if I parked at the outdoor parking across the street. Also I could be in danger when I walk back to Hotel. He then became impolite and urge me to leave. Fortunately, there was a car coming out from the underground parking, so I rush down and stop argue with him. Actually, this unhappy experience can be easily avoid by just asked me to lineup and wait for the parking. Of course, I was expect more help from a 5 star hotel service, such as arrange me a space to stop and inform me when the packing become available. Obviously, the concierge supervisor was not trained to be a 5 Star hotel concierge, needless to say a supervisor in concierge.

Love the breakfast, the facilities. The decoration is modern and elegant. Bed are large and comfy.
