Room seem a little dated. A little pricy for the room (perhaps touristy place?).

Staff were good. Location was ok, with bus stop nearby. Two sets of steps takes you to Jiufen Old Street.

The water heater is not working well; it is cold. The place is quite old, and the bathtub leaks and is stained.

The owner is kind. I got a better room because there were few customers that day.

No heater, stairs going down, so when we bring heavy luggage is hard and the towel very small. They only accept cash, no card 😔 no spoon and fork.

The towels were a bit small, not perfect for showering. And we could hear people talking in the room next to ours. Not a big deal but it's something light sleepers and couples might need to be aware of. Warm water in the shower not very warm.

Very nice and polite host, showed us where everything was and because it's cash only payment he let us go to the ATM and give him the cash a bit later as it was raining outside. It's a perfect location, close to all attractions in the area even though you have to walk up and downstairs. Free coffee, unlimited hot water supply etc.

The bedsheets felt damp, there was a musty smell in the room, and the windowsills were mouldy,would be useful to add a fan. The design of the bath tub doesn’t make sense, it’s difficult to stand

As mentioned in other comments, the bathtub is very old and has a hole in addition to the normal drainage. If the water just goes below the tub and not into pipes, this can't be good for the house. Other guests might be inconsiderate and leave their hair in the bathtub after taking a shower in the shared bathroom.

Very close to the Old street of Jiufen. Close to bus stops. The room was really large and had a nice seating area with a couch. Electric kettle, two bottles of water and two packs of instant coffee were included in the room. Check in was quite smooth.

No windows in the room! Check in wasn't the easiest as it was a little difficult to find the accommodation.

Room could have been a bit cleaner and a renovation would be nice, bed light wasn't working, bathroom is shared and the shower was a joke (why is there no curtain and it's incredibly small), no separate toilet so waiting times can be long if somebody takes time in the bathroom

No window inside my room so the air is not that good enough. The facilities is old and even the bathing tub is broken. Fortunately it's not sharp.

The price is cheap and the location is nearly main street. Only 2-5 minutes walk upstairs you will arrive the 7-11.

They only accept cash payment which make things difficult. Overall looks clean but it is quite old fashioned design. Some corners of the room are very dusty. Since is quite affordable, ok for Jiu Fen one night stay.

The room keychain has a bell attached which is too noisy when we bring it out together. Towel too small. Toilet is sharing and a little smelly probably becos of the tissue thrown in the dustbin.

Upgraded to twin room with seaview. Room was clean room and comfortable. Air cond is cold. Location near to Jiufen oldstreet but have to climb stairs. The owner allow us to check in an hour earlier since the room is ready. Friendly homestay owner.

Suggest to have a microwave oven and a few bowls, cutlery at the old block (block 2) Bath tub cracks and rusty.

A very good location especially if you travel with your big luggages. You may store big luggages at reception counter and carry only essential stuffs to your room or you may ask for a room same block and floor at the reception. They have 3 blocks, easily access will a few stairs. Near main road and bus station. If you travel from Ruifang station stop at Dai TianFu st and walk down 100m you will see 輝明 on your left. To catch a bus back to Taipei or Ruifang, board bus at station opposite to the police station (jiufen pai chu suo 九分派出所） Jiufen old street is easily accessible via some stairs (5min)

The bathroom doesn't have a curtain so the water will be everywhere !! The 2nd floor bathroom didn't have hot water so I had to use the 1st floor bathroom !

The room was cozy and so close to the old street !
