They are really strict on the check-in time so if you are early, do expect a flustered dismissive service. If you are travelling with your older folks, do note that the series of stairs do have railings staggered throughout except some locations. Would recommend that if you have a big luggage to deposit at ruifang station. Do approach the visitors' centre booth for the location on where to deposit and do not deposit them in the station lockers.

The view was amazing (even from the toilet). Very spacious and clean. Breakfast was good with amazing views towards the sea too. Their dogs are really cute as well

The instructions for the parking could be a little clearer

The room was very nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. We had a small table and chairs outside the room to relax with a great view. Short walking distance from center of jiufen. Would 100% recommend.

Fantastic one night stay with amazing views from the room. Great location and parking. just a short walk up steps to main street in jiufen. Comfy bed and good breakfast, would absolutely stay again.

Better sign posting for directions down the long stairs/path to the venue. They were laying concrete outside our room to extend the hotel. Noisy, even on Sunday. And we had to climb over concrete reinforcing reo metal bars to get to our room. While it has a bath, it's fairly small - doesn't inspire a long relax. And the plug leaked (fortunately I carry a spare). It's almost a ladder to reach the loft bedroom. Be fit!

We booked the room with the view from the bathroom and lounge. Yupp, great views! The quirky architecture is fun, although the bathroom floor with small boulders embedded in it required care to avoid stubbed toes or a slip. Be sure to turn on the light at night!

No - we didn’t have the breakfast but if need to eat early, it is recommended since not a lot is open early in town.

An idyllic room on the second floor with a very large comfy bed. We opted for the room with the beautiful bathtub that looks out to the stunning view and we were not disappointed! The staff is lovely as are all their furry little friends (dogs and cats). Highly recommended.

Many up and down steps are needed to reach the hotel. Although it’s common for the area, it might not be suitable for seniors. Dangerous!

The view was spectacular, so was the room. Everything was in order and clean. The hostess was very welcoming to us even during late hours when she was studying english. The dogs and cat were sooo cute and relaxing, which made the stay a hundred percent better. The only bad thing is that we didn’t get to spend more time there.

Would be great to have a more modern bathroom.

Views were superb. The rooms were very spacious. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Was very close to the town of Jiufen (i.e. within walking distant for those who are able to walk up and down stairs) which made it really easy to go to the town for food and exploring a few times a day. Breakfast was extra but for the price (great value) and convenience of being able to get breakfast in the morning without having to venture out far is really great.

It is at the bottom of the old street, similar to most accomodations. My 4 years old was able to walk all the way up, as for my wife..

Unchallenged view of the ocean and harbour. Fully secluded balcony giving full privacy to the french window. Super spacious for my family of 3. Clawfoot bath to a big open glass with romantic scenery.
