Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeMy only complaint is the noise that comes from the road outside the building, as it's located in a very central area of Taipei.
A stone's throw away from Songjiang-Nanjing MRT station. There is a Seven-Eleven nearby. The room is very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful.

PhilippinesJust for the sake of saying something: something very very shallow--I couldn't increase the volume of the TV. Not that you're there for the TV.
Place was very clean. I was extremely happy about that. The room size was perfect for my husband and me. One side of the bed was against the wall but that didn't really make things uncomfortable. They had good wi-fi. Most of all, the location was 10/10. You can walk to everywhere if that's your thing, but you can also take the train which is a few meters away from the hotel. I like that fact that it's not a big chain and not a big hotel. It's part of its charm. They were very helpful with everything--instructions for check-in, airport pick-up, towel changes... everything!

BrazilThe reception doesn't work 24h, so if you arrive after their time, they you send you some instructions to get inside the building, then get inside the hotel, then get inside your room. I would love if they had breakfast.
The location is very convenient, close to many shops and cafes. The room was spacious, clean and super comfortable. Bed and pillows were amazing. The bathroom was fantastic and very well decorated. Staff was helpful.

United StatesNot many places to put our stuff (like a luggage rack) but it worked out fine, since we only had small bags.
Great location right just a few steps away from the Songjiang nanjing MRT station. Room was super clean, and staff was very kind. The rooms were also very sound proof from outside noise which helped with sleeping!

CanadaIt’s already been mentioned by many. The hotel is on the 6th floor of a building. The one elevator can be small and busy to use during day time
Just like the other reviews have said. This is a mini hotel with great CP value. We booked one of the corner rooms with bathtub. The room was new, clean, big, and with great city view. The location is also one of the best, with 1 min walk to a major MRT.

GermanyThere was no closet, so we lived our of the suitcase. Which was fine for us, but could be a minus for some others. Also, we missed a big mirror to see the full body (and your face, if you are too high for the mirror in the bathroom). Maybe on the back of the entrance door it could make sense.
The staff was extremely nice and supportive. They were always available, when we needed them. We checked in during their absence, which was described very good and therefore super easy and convenient for us. The location is perfect. You have a 7eleven downstairs, some restaurants and noodle shops very close nearby, and just 2 minutes walking we had two different breakfast shops. And the MRT. It's so convenient to have two lines directly next to you. Basically you can reach every corner of the city in a few minutes. For half-day trips to Keelung, Jiufen, of Shifen you can easyly go to train station Songshan from here. They changed towels and cleaned the room during our stay, offered lots of drinking water, we used the washing machine, everything for free. And there's silent air conditioning everywhere.

FranceIf we are very picky, our room was near the washing machine and we could hear it. The soundproofing is a little light for a European. If you are sensitive to noise, you should bring your ear plug. Otherwise everything was perfect.
We have stayed in the classical double room for more than 2 weeks. The staff is very kind and friendly. They always try to do their best to meet your expectations. We arrived in Taipei early in the morning and could leave the luggage in the hotel while waiting in the city for our check in. They exceptionally accepted a check in at 2 pm instead of 3pm since we were exhausted from our flight. Some customers were noisy but after talking with the staff, there was less noise. The hotel is very near the green and yellow MRT line. This is very convenient. The room is very clean. The mini fridge and AC were saving us from the heat. We were very happy with the staff and will come back next time.

Czech RepublicThis accommodation was by far the best hotel experience we've had after booking countless different hotels over our 6-month stay in Taiwan. The room was so well-prepared and pristinely clean it felt like we were the first ever guests. Apart from the cleanliness, both the lobby and our room (including the bathroom) were adorably decorated which added a very nice artistic touch. Last but not least, I need to address the overall service the staff provided us with. We needed somewhere to stay during the following day due to our airplane taking off being late at night and not only did they let us store our luggage there until whatever time we needed, we could also use their lobby's facilities to our advantage.

United StatesWhile exit 4 of the MRT station was only a few steps away, there is only an up escalator and stairs. It is a deep station so many many stairs. Another exit has an elevator and there is at least 1 exit with both up and down escalators, it farther away.
I've stayed at a handful of hotels in Taipei before but Journey Town Inn was one of the best. While the room (Deluxe Double Room with City View) may not have been fancy or luxurious, it was large, quirky, fun, quiet, and very clean. There were 4 large windows in the bedroom and another large window in the bathroom. Windows facing north did have a building quite close by, the west facing windows did not. Attached bathroom was large; had a separate shower and a clawfoot bathtub (with bath salts!). The unusual set up of the hotel was perfect for us. 2 deluxe double rooms with city views face onto the large common living space/lobby. Other rooms were off corridors that also open onto the common room. With only a total of 10 rooms, it was a cozy set up. Common area had on one side a sitting area with a TV. Other side had tables and chairs by the west facing windows. As others have mentioned in their reviews, the building is a multi-purpose building, looks kind of in need of a re-fresh from the outside. You can't tell that there's a hotel inside from the street. There is a small step up from the sidewalk and the building lobby is quite small. There is a 24 hour doorman stationed there. You take the elevator to the 6th floor. Access is by key/code. Hotel is officially staffed between 9am-6pm. Though we witnessed staff arriving at around 8:30am. Those checking in after hours are sent self-check instructions which were very clear (though we did witness people needing multiple attempts to get in). We stayed 6 nights and were grateful for the washing machine (free with laundry detergent!). The neighbourhood seemed to be a downtown office kind of area. Quiet on the weekends and buzzing come Monday morning. As such there weren't as many small breakfast places open on Saturday and Sunday. Still managed to find local shops (sadly no Yong He Soy Milk King nearby) for breakfast. Staff very helpful.
