Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI wish the bathrooms were bigger - there is basically no way to shower without getting your clothes wet. Also, in my experience, it was not a very social hostel.
The location was great, the pod setup of the beds was nice, and the provided locker area provided enough storage for a checked-size bag. The common room was pretty spacious as well.

The location is good. Nearby a lot of food stall, restaurant and McDonald. Opposite is a shopping mall called Xin Guang San Yue. Alight in Taipei Main Station and can go out from exit Z4 (Staircase), Z2 (Lift) or Exit M8 (Escalator). Overall the entire place is clean and comfortable. They have coin operated washing machines and dryer, if you do not want to bring too many clothes, can do laundry there. Wash NT20 per time, detergent NT10, Dryer NT10 10mins, NT20 for 30 mins. For female solo traveler will feel comfortable to stay here.

RussiaThe hostel is located in the cellar, there are no windows to see what's going on on the street, it is confusing. The elevator is situated in the technical zone, so you can only use it for check out, but not for check in. Besides quite spacious beds, common area in the dorm room is quite tiny. There is no space to pack. I have a cabin size 20 inch suitcase. When I put it on the floor to pack it took the whole width of the room width
The location is great, 5 minutes from the main station. But it's a bit difficult to find, entrance is just a huge transparent door to the staircase. Probably one of the most clean hostels I've ever stayed at. Cleaner than some Japanese ones. The staff is very smiley and nice. The stairs to the top bunk were great. Separation of the female zone is a good idea. It has several women's dorms and a big shower/toilet room separated from the rest of the dorms by Japanese curtains. The organisation of the space for the locker and luggage is quite neat. There are two pillows and two types of lights in the cubicle. Whenever the staff has a spare minute they clean something or do the maintenance.

JapanThis hostel probably has the cleanest dorm rooms and toilets in all the backpackers' hostel. Hope it's not just because the place is still new and that they can keep it up!

PhilippinesIt's in the basement with no elevator, so it might pose a challenge for those with heavy luggage. But it's manageable since it's just one level down.
The location is super convenient (located beside McDonalds), just walking distance from Exit 6&4 of Taipei Main Station. Accommodation is clean, front desk is friendly and vibe is peaceful and quiet. Definitely recommended.

IndonesiaNothing. Well maybe cleared instruction how to go to the hostel from Taipei main station bc it is a huge station. Maybe details about which exit or easiest direction to the hostel.
ALL. I can’t believe staying in a hostel can be so comfortable. Spotless clean, spacious bathroom, bed, and common area. Location is near to Taipei Main Station. Incredible staff, they all are so friendly and helpful. After check out, I put my luggage there and when I collected it they allowed me to take shower as I was so sweaty and will continue with a long flight. Thanks for being so considerate! This place is also very safe, everything has to use access card. I dropped my rain cover and I asked them and they helped check in the cctv to find out about this. They also accommodated me for lower bed, but their upper bed can be easily accessed by a wide stairs (not ladder), so easy to climb up. Overall, highly recommended hostel!

United StatesThey have a washer and dryer available, though to use their Tide pod it’s $10 TWD. Not a big deal since I didn’t bring any detergent with me. Washer was $50 TWD while the Dryer was $20 TWD for 20 minutes. Now I don’t know about you but I don’t know any dryer that can effective dry a load of laundry in 20 minutes. So be prepared to probably shell out around $110 TWD in coins in order to do laundry here. I ended up doing 2 rounds of the dryer and hanged dried the rest.
I liked how it was underground and away from the humidity, aside from the men’s bathroom, but overall it was a nice escape from the humidity of outside. The space itself was fairly clean and the room itself was nice with only 6 bunks in the room that I was assigned. Staff was friendly and even gave me the opportunity to check in slightly earlier, which I was grateful for to escape the heat. Location is ideal because it’s minutes away from the Taipei Main Station, it was a little bit of a trek to get to the express line that goes to Taoyuan airport but very doable.
