Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The room was clean and not too tight. The heated and washing toilet seat was a nice bonus 😊

United StatesYour experience at Guide Hotel Taipei NTU sounds delightful! Let me enhance your review to capture the essence of your stay: I had an incredibly pleasant stay at Guide Hotel Taipei NTU. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Ms. Paulina and Ms. Chen Hui went above and beyond to assist me. When I inquired about directions to Yang Ming Shan Park, Ms. Paulina promptly knocked on my room door and handed me a printout of the MRT map, detailing which stops to board and get off. This thoughtful gesture exceeded my expectations.😊 Ms. Chen Hui was equally enthusiastic, showing me the MRT routes on her phone. The hotel’s location is excellent, with easy access to public transportation, including the MRT and buses. Plus, it’s just a short walk away from numerous delightful food vendors. 😋 Overall, my stay was exceptional, thanks to the warm hospitality and convenient amenities provided by Guide Hotel Taipei NTU.👍

MalaysiaI left my luggage at the counter for luggage service after I have chase led out the hotel. Unfortunately, when I was back for my luggage, there is no staff at the counter. It was 11 morning and I called for help at the counter, nobody responding. I called the phone number from Google, the phone in counter rang but still no one showing up, even the phone from check in and out machine wasn’t working. Then, I have no choice but to went up stair every floor to find a staff for my luggage. I ask the only cleaning staff at 5th floor and she impatiently told me this is the self service time, no staff will be in the counter. So what about my luggage? I’m rushing metro to Shin Chu, this has taken me more than an hour. It’s ridiculous.
Facilities are nice. Location is the best part for the property. So near to NTU.

SingaporeNoticed in the bathroom the housekeeping wasn't great. Previous stay(?) Left behind stickers on the wall, wads of tissue behind a toilet bowl, and the bathtub was a bit in poor shape (cracks near the wall, grouting was brown). TV wasn't working at all, I tried to self help but it wouldn't connect to the set top box. It was just a one night stay so I left it and went to sleep. Room was not soundproof, could hear another room's alarm clock and phone game music going off incessantly. Fortunately again just one night stay.
Really close to the Taipei Power station and near some good amenities like supermarket, convenience stores, breakfast joints. Staff was very helpful in assisting me with the check-in and the room was generally tidy and in good order when I got in.

PhilippinesMy mom and I didn't appreciate that they actually let us check in later than 3pm since they said they weren't done cleaning.. When we finally got to the room, it was sooooo dusty, not just the tops of the TV/refrigerator/shelf, but also the floors like behind the couches and tables! There was a lot of dust and hair on the floor by the door as if the staff forgot to do that one last sweep with his/her broom/vacuum. I also didn't like the fact that when you remove your card key to leave during the day, the refrigerator turns off too! I had to keep some ice and an ice pack in the freezer for an injury but when we got back that night, it was all melted and it made a mess too. This isn't something I'd ever really recommend but I would suggest leaving one card in the power slot especially if you have to keep certain things cold or frozen (like medications for those with diabetes and such). They also had a very noisy (what I assumed to be) dehumidifier. There were traces of mold on the wallpapers and traces of damage because of humidity too, but where the humidity even comes from, I really don't know but that machine fills up FAST. So you have to be vigilant about changing it. :') Lastly, for a room good for four people, there was only 1 electric outlet..... Good thing I tend to bring an multi-slot extension cord by habit... I guess if you follow my lead, staying here wouldn't be as hassle as it seems! :D
Location was definitely the best part for me since it was just 2 blocks from the nearest Catholic Church (Guting Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish) and they had frequent masses during the week and on Sundays :) The bus stop was about a hundred meters away, and the metro was a hop and a skip away (even closer than the bus)! There were 2 7/11s nearby, as well as a Carrefour across the street. It's quite the ideal location for a stay-cation actually since you don't have to go far (or even walk far) to get a good enough taste of Taiwan! Across the street, near the Carrefour, are at least 3 different milk tea/boba/bubble tea stores, Taiwan chicken, and other soups and stews. They have bakeries and a renowned leather shoe shop too. The location is superb! Beds were comfy as heck too!

United StatesThese were annoyances but did not affect our stay. Hot water supply is on the first floor by the reception and is filled in a thermos. Take the initiative and ask for what you need and they may accommodate you. e.g. Use of a microwave.
A small intimate hotel with only about 35 rooms. Though it is located on a fairly busy street, the building was renovated so the sound-proofing is very good. We rested well and did not hear any sound from the street or alleys. 1. No breakfast after the pandemic. But there is a 7-11, Carrefour, and YongHe Soymilk and freshly-baked buns within 2 min walk. You can pick up yogurt, banana, fruit, milk, hard-boiled eggs and store extra food in the fridge. 2. Very close to subway station, TaiDian or Taipower [Green Line] exit 4 or 5. This is why the hotel is popular and fills up.
