It was a pleasant place. Close to Ximending night market. And the MRT was few minutes walk. The place was comfortable to stay clean and quiet.

We were direct to opposite air BnB : Taipei Love Home - Ximending without advance notice charges same price. The bed mattresses are too old , please change new one. Wifi super lousy breaking on/off in between connection. We see small cockroaches around room.

It's hard to find the hotel because there's no sign or something that gives you a clue about the hotel. The only thing that u can see is just a piece of paper and the handwriting of the building number near the entrance.

It's clean, the hotel provides a towel and a toothbrush since another hotel at the same price does not provide it. (on a discount price)

The check-in process is very sketchy: you arrive at the address and there is no hotel at all! There is just a small note on one door asking you to call a local number (SO MAKE SURE TO HAVE TAIWANESE DATA!), perhaps also on WhatsApp. Then he gives you the code for the door lock and you can enter. He simply texts you your room number and you find your keys in the door of your room. For payment, the owner will pass by later on (he also accepts VISA and cash!). Ultimately, the beds were so uncomfortable, I really had a hard time catching some sleep, despite all my sightseeing through the previous days.

I really liked the location, super close to the nearest MRT station and the Xingmending neighbour hood with its fancy markets and hip vibes. Similarly, I liked the low prices of the hotel.

When it rains, water drips from the ceiling of room 203. It happened once during my stay, and I was moved for that night in another (better) room so I can't complain. If they fix this issue, they could charge a little more for this room. The only negative thing is that communication is very difficult, and it's not just the language barrier.

I was lucky and got the best single (bunk bed/twin) room, which is room 203. It has a floor-to-ceiling window which I loved. The room itself is very small, but it costs around the same as a dormitory bed in other places, so it is very good value (even if you get a room with no window). Location is also perfect, in the centre of Ximending (right behind The Red House). I loved my stay so much that I extended it twice, staying 9 nights all up.

Bad and horrible management, and only one very thin comforter, we need to put our winter coat on to sleep. We were busy even didn’t have a chance email whoever in charge, no reception is very inconvenient, they don’t consider the costermer need。

- Cramped room. Not recommended for tall people, you will bump your head - Booking hassle. Booked with credit card in advance. Was told that we were actually not charged on arrival and had to pay on the spot - Unmanned hotel and customer support/host uncontactable. Called/messaged but no/late response. Ended dragging our luggage back to train station and stored at the lockers there - Had to wait for the customer support/host to come for check-in

It's difficult to find. The mattress is just a topper so you feel the hard plank of the bed. And it's supernoisy - you hear other people talking but most of all every time the bathroom water is running you hear this so loudly.

Door is hard to find, had to call to check in. I booked for someone else who told me that the AC didn't turn on, the bed was hard and that he was told he couldn't shower (I'm sure this was a misunderstanding though since the listing clearly speaks of a shower in the shared bathroom)

Room without window, high humidity, uncomfortable and small bed for non Asians (bed probably 190). I just cant bealive that you wont have a window in a room nowadays in a hotel. Totally destroy my sleep rythm. Even for the price I would expect to have a WINDOW? literally 4 walls, a bed and a toilet.

This is not a hotel. It is a minshu. The photos and the real place differ a lot. My family of five squeeze into a room with a double deck bed. Top for 3 and bottom for 2. It was a squeeze. Noisy. Toilet is nothing impressive. For the cost, it is really not worth it. Please don't book this minshu.
