Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe light in parking space was out of order making it dangerous to reach the entry door to elevator lobby. The bathroom shower didn’t have air vent at ceiling, therefore many black spots grew on the ceiling and walls. The air was stuffy and the air conditioning controller didn’t work well. The room was too cold even thermostat was set at 30 degrees C. The interior finishes were aging and damaged, so were the furniture.
Room is spacious and nice. Its design is for couples. Bathroom has many amenities: jacuzzi type bath tub, shower with steaming,… The room has its own elevator access.

SloveniaThere was no door on the toilets which was awful, like you are in the middle of the bedroom and anybody can watch, hear and smell what you are doing. The windows have black folies, so the sun is entering the room only if you open them. The smell in the room was like after a long night alcohol party, not possible to ventilate the smell. Sunday breakfast was not served in the dining room but surprisingly delivered - not what we like to eat - 4 different dishes in front of the dooor
Very good location. Near the metro station (100meters). Spacious room, very big bathroom. Elevator. Utility for making a cup of coffee. Big Tv. Extremely good massage chair ( a little bit damaged cover, but working perfectly ).

TaiwanBreakfast was free, but it was so light and simple. I was willing to pay a little bit more to get a nice and warm breakfast.
The hotel location was not far (walking distance) from the MRT's LuZhou station. It seemed that the hotel was aged, unlike the other hotel in downtown Taipei. But the fare and room space were great compared to the other hotels. I really enjoyed the big screen TV and hot tube. So relaxing.

TaiwanWe did not like that the room was so dark, and if we didn't set an alarm, we would've slept all day. The room also had a strange smell to it. It included breakfast, but you only get one eggroll and one sandwich to share between 2 persons.
We liked how spacious it was and it was very close to the MRT.

MalaysiaThe motel does not have a proper reception. It is just a guard house of the apartment. At first we could hardly locate it. The receptionists were not friendly. There were no smile on the faces. The motel breakfast was prepared by the breakfast shop outside of the motel. We stayed few days. The duration of waiting the breakfast vary from 1 hour to 2 hours. You really have to request for breakfast by 6am in order to start your journey early. This is the only bad part of the stay. Nothing much surrounding this hotel. Not even 7/11 or any conveniences shop. Bus stops, MRT station just near by the motel. Other than that, everything goes very well. We loves this place.
Location is very near to MRT Luzhou station. This hotel is unexpected HUGE for 3 of us. We loves the bathroom especially.

SingaporeNothing is good about this property , do not book . Book at your own risk! Haunted rooms lights all flickering , blanket sheets are practically useless , they said no smoking , but the rooms when entered are full of smoke . Morris broken , no doors for toilets , moulds bathtubs , rusted mini fridge , and also all their sheets might not even been washed before , lighting were bad … TV not working totally like a broken down haunted place , it shows how much their owners/management cared for this motel at all . And also if you are lucky , I don’t know if you are comfortable sleeping facing a mirror , there will be a room that you will be facing the mirror when you sleep on the bed , when you leave the motel they will request for you to pass your room keys to them for I don’t know what apparent reason , totally no sense of security at all , and they will not be liable for anything lost . To go up to your room you have a personal lift , but it’s the old days lift , super noisy and slow , if there is a fire you would definitely be in trouble
Nothing to like about this place all bad nothing good

AustraliaThey say that sometimes, all you need on vacation is a clean, no-frills place to rest your head. Unfortunately, even that simple expectation wasn’t met during our stay at Purple Rainbow Motel. First and foremost, beware that this is a 'Love Motel', a concept we’ve since learned is common in Taiwan. Designed for short, discreet stays rather than comfort, it quickly became clear that this wasn’t an ordinary accommodation. Families or travelers looking for a relaxing stay should look elsewhere. Cleanliness and Comfort (or Lack Thereof): • The couch was visibly stained, making it uninviting to sit on. • The shower was mouldy, with a stained yellow basin and a low showerhead that required squatting to fit under. • Water temperature was an issue—the shower never warmed up, which made it unbearable during Taipei’s winter. • The bed had stains on the top cover, suggesting only the sheets were cleaned, and the blanket provided was too thin to keep warm. • The room reeked of cigarette smoke, despite being listed as non-smoking. The stench was so strong that it leeched into all our clothes, leaving them smelling terrible even after we checked out. • The overall lack of cleanliness extended to all surfaces, leaving us uncomfortable using any of the amenities provided, including the massage chair, couch, and spa. Convenience and Accessibility Issues: • The check-in process only starts at 6 PM, and no earlier check-in was allowed when requested. • Room access is controlled by an attendant, who must manually open your garage every time you enter or exit. This was inconvenient and awkward. • The entrance was confusing, requiring us to navigate through a garage, then a door, and finally an elevator with Mandarin-only instructions, which made things even more complicated. • Windows were completely blacked out, making the room perpetually dark with no sense of time.
Positives: The room was spacious and came with extra amenities like a couch, massage chair, and spa—though we felt unable to use them due to the lack of cleanliness. The location was quite good with easy access to the Metro.
