Positives 1. The hotel is located just outside the Taichung Main Railway Station, across the road. 2. The bus stop was located just outside the hotel, giving very convenient options to travel within the city. 3. The staff at the reception was super helpful. The team was fluent in English and understood our requirements. 3. The food at the Breakfast was exceptional. As we are vegetarians, we got a few options, which satisfied our hunger. 4. The room provided had a large bed. 5. The room was neat and clean. Negatives 1. The room did not have any window. We could not get fresh air, ventilation and natural sunlight.

- There are No Free Water Dispenser. They do give 2 Free Small Bottles of Water. There is also a 1L Kettle for you to Boil Water with. - The Aircon in my Room 702 didn't feel Cold even at the Lowest Temperature. Not sure if its because of Taichung's Warm Weather in Early March or if the Aircon at Room 702 was Faulty. This was the only issue that I really had. The Aircon felt like its on Permanent Dry Dehumidifier Mode instead of Cool Mode. - Overall a Very Decent Affordable Budget and Comfortable Hostel with Decent Service located Very Near Taichung Station. Its also very near to the Famous Miyahara Ice Cream Palour. I really can't ask for more. - Considering some of the Less than Ideal Hostels I've been in other Countries, this felt like Luxury already. Keep your Expectations in check, bring your own Toiletries and Stuffs. Everything else is a Bonus. I enjoyed my stay and if the price is right, will definitely choose this again if im back in Taichung. I just hope I get a Room with Better Airconditioning.

- This Hotel is Very Near Taichung Station. It was Very Easy to walk to and find. - First Impression is Very Good. This is a Boutique Hotel, not Hostel. Front Desk looks Well Renovated and Professional. Staffs are Very Friendly and Polite. - 3 Elevators are available. All are Working Properly. Restroom is available at Lobby although for Customers only. Unfortunately I cannot check in earlier. Check in was Smooth and Fast. - There is Temporary Luggage Storage at the Lobby and I like that they will give you a Tag for Easy Identification so less chance for Baggage to get lost. - There is a Restaurant / Cafe although it only opens for Breakfast at 6.30am to 9.30am. A Breakfast Coupon is required. You can purchase this Coupon from the Front Desk for TWD150. - Uses KeyCard System for their Doors. Worked Well Enough and Locked Securely. - Free Room WIFI connected easily although it was a Different SSID as stated on the Card. It was Fast, but sometimes Unstable. - Room 702 was where I stayed. For the price, it wasn't particularly big but was spacious with 2 beds. There are No Windows. Well Maintained and the Room was Clean. Not 5 Stars Quality but I'm Not Complaining. - Power sockets worked well. Although Taiwan uses 110v, as long as you have a Travel Adapter that fits into their Small 2 Prong socket, you can charge your devices easily without any Special Power Converter. I had no issues charging my Phone, Powerbanks and other Stuffs. - Bathroom was Clean and equipped with a Shower, Sitting Toilet Bowl and a Wash Basin. It was Clean with No Leaks. Shower provided Good Hot Water although the Waterjet gets Weaker, the Hotter the Water. Shampoo and Body Wash were available. Big and Small Towels were Clean. No Toiletries but you can buy from Front Desk at TWD10 for an Item I think. - There was also a Big TV but I did not use it.

The room was bot really soundproof. One of the guess opposite making noise at 1am and we could hear it clearly.

The hotel is exactly what you would expect for the price - it is absolutely adequate for a one night stay and it's location very close to the train station makes it a very convenient choice. I would not choose it for a longer stay, though.

The bathroom could be a bit bigger, and there’s only 1 power socket at the bedside and another one is at the fridge, which was a bit inconvenient, I hope they could add some more sockets in the room.

It’s super close to Taichung’s train station, like it was only 2 mins walk away, there’re heaps of motorbike rental agencies nearby, and they’re also offering free overnight private parking for motorbikes which is pretty nice. The room price is really good value, around NT$500/person/night (if 2 people shared). TBH with this price, it far exceeded my expectations. If I ever come to Taichung again, I will definitely choose them again.

Ask in advance to stay in a quiet room. No flushing of toilet paper allowed or you will be billed ...

When I entered my room after checking in, I found it very noisy (noise coming from the street!). I immediately went back to the reception to ask if there was a quieter room available. Fortunately, there was and since I had not yet taken the room into use, I could move to another room on another side of the building. I would like to thank the staff for this. Otherwise, earplugs would definitely have been necessary! The room and bathroom were very neat but there was very little storage space. Too little. There were a kettle, tea, coffee and water in the room. The breakfast was OK but offered fewer options than I had in many other hotels in Taiwan. Remarkable: This was my only hotel during the entire Taiwan trip where the bathroom did not have such a modern ‘Japanese’ toilet with all kinds of extras. This hotel really still had an old normal toilet like in Europe 😊 The staff emphasised that you were definitely not allowed to flush toilet paper. This was truly the only toilet I saw during the entire trip in Taiwan where you were not allowed to flush toilet paper. Presumably the pipes were made much too narrow, as in very old buildings in Asia …

The surrounding - the pavement outside the hotel was littered with rubbish. It's beyond the hotel's control but surprised by the lack of cleanliness.

Location opposite Taichung Train station. Also a convenient place to get around by bus. Many bus stops nearby. Breakfast was simple but a good selection - rice, porridge, meat, veg, soup, bread, soya milk, cocoa drink, coffee and tea. Room was clean. Toilet waste clean.

The wifi was slow and unreliable, frequently dropping out. The staff were not particularly welcoming. Not rude, but a noticeable difference from other hotels I have stayed in Taiwan.

The location is super convenient for the train station and the tourist shuttle for Sun Moon Lake. The room itself was large and very clean. The shower had great water pressure and the TV remote was wrapped in plastic to keep it clean (small thing, but I loved it). There was a fridge in the room and it ran quietly so not to disturb sleep.
