Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeThe beds shouldn’t be place on a HIGH platform which is very dangerous, we have to be very careful not to fall.
The staff were nice, approachable and the place is also very quiet.

IsraelThe AC units in our room and the breakfast room cheapen the space. The wifi didn't work in our room and we had to go to the lobby, very surprising for 2025. But the main turnoff was the woman who checked us in asking us to please leave a 5 star review in the moment and in exchange, she'd upgrade our room.
The bathtub in our room was amazing as was the breakfast. Delicious and different.

AustraliaIf you are staying in a room facing the road, it can get noisy early in the morning as cars pass by, dogs bark etc.
A boutique hotel that symbolizes the time when Japan started many onsens in Taiwan - the hotel looks very Japanese on the outside but European/french inside. The location of the hotel is near the attractions and a short walk from restaurants. The breakfast was superb (high tea style).

United KingdomAs it was an old hotel it wasn’t soundproof at all - could hear everything from outside and other peoples rooms. Uncomfortable pillows. Needed more staff - the poor main who checked us in was then also rushing round the next morning to do all the coffee service/breakfast service and check people out!
The hotel was very quirky. Very old school decor. The huge stone bath in the bathrooms were amazing - plumbed with water from the hot springs (just don’t wash your hair using it!) Really unusual but great breakfast - served on a three tier ‘afternoon tea’ stand. Excellent morning coffee! 15 min walk from the station and then walkable to all the sites

SingaporeThere need a walking distance about 15-20mins from the property to the area of restaurants. It is still okay for the young one to walk around for foods, but not friendly for those old folks. The facilities in the bathroom are quite old.
The staffs are quiet friendly. We are groups of 12 with wheelchair user so they offer us an upgrade for all of our rooms. My family are happy enjoy the environment although the facilities are a bit old but overall is still okay. The breakfast provided are quite delicious.

ThailandThese are little things, but the rooms could have used more electrical outlets and more places to hang things.
This was a real charming place. The staff that greets you in the lobby is extremely attentive. They take very good care of the hotel. Our rooms were big, and had a bath that could be filled with the local hot spring water (our whole reason for staying there!). We paid extra for breakfast but it was worth it. Location is within walking distance to everything in Beitou. We enjoyed our stay very much.

SingaporeThere were no lifts to upper floors so it was hard to drag up the luggage for the elderly members of the family. If you are walking to this place from train station, be prepared for long and tiring walk up the slope especially the last 100m to the hotel.
Location was in quiet area. Hotspring bath was very good. We were given an upgrade to a better room.

AustraliaThe building has no lift so it's a bit hard for us because our room was on the third floor. Staff offered to carry our luggage but she is tiny and two of us can manage.
Staff are very friendly and we got upgraded to a bigger room. The hotel provides good quality toiletries and the hot spring bathtub was very good.

MalaysiaWiFi connection is weak.
The environment is very cozy and tranquil, room with hot tub , and teas for guests. The staffs are friendly and caring. A few tourists hot spots are just located nearby and can be reach by foot. If you want to have an evening walk after the dinner, you can stroll around the area, the streets are very scenic ,quiet and beautiful in the night . My family enjoys having the English style breakfast served by the hotel. Great escape from hectic life in this hot springs area.

FijiThe internet connection was quite unreliable. Overall a very good stay.
Nice hotel with very nice atmosphere and lovely staff. The rooms were quite comfortable but a bit small and not much fresh air (we prefer fresh air and don't like having the aircon always on, especially during the night). Very pleasant to have a bathtub with thermal water in the room. Good location, you can easily walk to the main attractions in Beitou or take the bus (bus stop nextdoor) to go around Taipei.

My wife and I choose this as our first location to stay for our free and easy honeymoon. A cosy hotel that has personal hotspring tub inside the room. The hotel also upgraded us to a bigger room because we booked for 2 nights. The receptionist/owner: Mr Lin and his wife are super friendly. They explained the story of the hotel and also gave us ideas on nearby area to visit. The breakfast was splendid. The hotel is full of beautiful antiques.
