For me personally was the room way too dark. It has a window, but there is absolutely no natural light or fresh air. You always needed to switch on lights. Inside you didn’t feel a difference between day and night. The room was also a bit cramped.

The worst hostel experience I’ve ever had! Right after checking in, I discovered cockroaches crawling on the floor of the room! Feeling utterly disgusted, I immediately reported it to the front desk. To my surprise, the staff member on the night shift just coldly responded with, “I’ll handle it later,” without any apology or offering any other solutions! Later, after going out for dinner, I felt increasingly uncomfortable and returned to politely ask the staff member, who was still on duty, “Excuse me, have you cleaned the room?” The staff member impatiently replied, “I’ve cleaned it!” as if it was something they were reluctant to do. Wait a minute—there’s a cockroach, and you shouldn’t have taken the initiative to clean it up? And when you saw me return, shouldn’t you have proactively informed me to put my mind at ease? I then said, “Sorry, I still find it quite disgusting. Is it possible to change beds?” To my surprise, this staff member rolled their eyes at me with a very disdainful expression! Although he eventually let me switch beds, his attitude throughout the conversation was extremely impatient. Finally, when I accidentally handed them my ID instead of the room card, he loudly shouted at me, “I need the room card!” I really wanted to tell this staff member that I’ve worked in a hostel before, and this kind of attitude towards guests is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Just because your rooms are cheap doesn’t mean you can treat guests this way! Why didn’t you offer any other remedies when I found cockroaches in my room, and why didn’t you proactively suggest changing rooms? And when I politely reported the issue, why did you have to shout at me? Do I owe you something? And even though this place is called a “hostel,” it doesn’t resemble a hostel at all. At best, it’s just a room with bunk beds, with no sufficient common space for guests to interact and socialize. The atmosphere is nothing like a hostel, and the soundproofing is terrible.

I think the staff there were really friendly and helpful. The location of the hostel was excellent, so it was within walking distance to many touristy sites and popular restaurants.

Not exactly a spot for social butterflies. This place was eerily quiet at night (suffocating for extroverts). The men's rooms were on the third floor, and I had to go down to the lobby to fill up my water bottle. Plus, the AC in the lobby could be stronger; you can tell the owner's trying to save on electricity bills.

Just 10 NTD for laundry, basically free. It's rare to find other places with a deal like this lol

i called the hostel a day earlier to ask if it was alright to come in at between 0900-1000 to place my luggage as the timing wasn't listed in booking.com. the staff said i can come in at that time, so i reached slightly after 0900 the next day. the staff (i think it's the boss) was very unhappy and the tone he used wasn't very nice (but not to the extend of harsh). he said i came in too early and i should call in advance next time. i told him i did and the staff who picked up the call said it was okay. because of this, i wasn't able to enjoy my trip fully as my mood was affected. this could have been avoided if information is passed down to the staff that is in the hostel. i later received a message from them through booking.com after 1000 asking what time i am checking in and said that i can leave my luggage there after 1000 if i want to. i think this kind of information should be conveyed at least a day before or state it in booking.com, and not on the day itself after the given time. i hope they work on improving their communication between staffs as well as with their customers.

I asked to extend my stay for one more night. The guy at the reception said yes and I paid. One day before the night I paid seperate, he said I can not stay longer because of a group who's coming. He gave me the money back. He didn't even ask if it's okay for me to go to another hostel. I'm glad I found another accommodation. The air in the room was very bad, even there is a window.

Beautiful, clean, great service, very thoughtful owner and comfortable beds. You get a map of places to visit as well and some fruit in the mornings. What an amazing stay.

The man who ran the hostel was amazing! So kind and helpful- brought out fruit to have when I arrived. The beds are very comfortable and well laid out. Lots of toilets and showers in the big bathroom. Very clean. Sociable common area. Amazing!!!!
