Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeWeird decors including paintings and statues. Place feels deserted. Handled entirely by two old staff.
Huge Rooms, Western Cabin like wooden architecture. Smack in the center of Ita Thao town.

The beautiful garden, the main entrance is a real art gallery. Although, a bit crammed. Beautiful pieces of art. Close to everything.

AustraliaThere wasn't a proper shower, just a handheld nozzle over the bathtub, meaning you basically had to sit in the tub to shower or risk water everywhere (or, just have a bath...).
Very cute, retro property, run by the sweetest old couple. Limited english but enough to get us checked in and to our room. The room was huge, and immaculately clean and we loved sitting on our balcony watching the sunset. Great location just a block from the port and main shopping street, but peaceful and quiet. This place is not sleek or modern, but is very charming and full of character.

CanadaIt is just too bad that the nice garden is not served by a restaurant ...
Charming stay in a house that feels like a museum. Located nearby the Lake, but far enough from the noise of the commercial streets. Car parking is REALLY appreciated.

United StatesThere was no housekeeping service. I did not realize this when booking. Not a major issue for 4 days however. The bed was more firm Than I prefer, but this a common issue in Taiwan from my experience.
Rooms were very good. Property was interesting, well maintained and in an ideal location for activities in the area. Restaurants and tourist shopping were in walking distance. Owner / manager was as helpful as one could expect. He was up at 200 am to see us off when we left to catch 800 am flights. Pictures of the property from the listing were very accurate.

AustraliaBathroom not practical. (bath too small for actual bathing with hand held shower head). Water leaking from the toilet, bathroom a bit stinky. Bed was really hard and uncomfortable (I usually like firm mattresses- but this was too hard!). I actually left a day early, and a contributing factor was the thought of trying to sleep in that bed another night. Also, in hindsight- without my own transport, i would have been better staying on the otherside of the lake.
Beautiful hotel with lovely garden. Really charming decoration. Lovely to sit on the balcony and watch people walk by. Staff were friendly. This hotel has so much potential. I am not sure if the restaurant was just closed for the season or if it is no longer operating- but really beautiful spaces.

United KingdomStairs are quite steep with no lift and no-one to help with bags. Bath/shower set up is a bit weird, but not really a problem once we got used to it.
Loved the wooden furniture and eclectic art collection. The location was excellent - 2 minutes from the shops/restaurants and the pier, but very quiet. Beds were really comfy and the room was spacious. Nice tea facilities.

TaiwanThe annex was a little further away from the main hotel which was a little odd and didn’t seem as well kept as the main hotel. The wooden walls seemed to have holes in them (triggering my trypophobia) that were covered in tape or some sort of plastic adhesive cover. The bathroom looked a little outdated and was also a little mouldy around the edges. It also seemed as though some lights would take a while to turn on? I still rate this as good as we were in the economy annex which was really cheap so I guess you pay what you get. We did get to see the main hotel and it looked a lot nicer and well kept.
Great location. A short walk to the market, cable car to the aboriginal cultural village and park, and docks for the boats, as well as plenty of bike hire shops. The staff were so incredibly kind, especially the granndpa who called a bike hire place for them to pick us up and escort us to the shop. We used electric bikes to travel to many site seeing locations. The room came with many appliances such as 2 hair dryers, a kettle, a fridge, extension cords, a TV, and of course an air conditioner. There were lots of amenities such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, comb, and shower stuff (including towels and flannels). The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was massive. We stayed in the annex part of the hotel which meant that there was a lot more privacy.
