Only a handful of restaurants nearby in Xincheng but all a bike or car ride away (long walk).

Great location to base yourself if you're heading up the Gorge independently (we were on bike). Big comfortable rooms, water dispensers, free packet noodles so you always have an option if you don't feel like going out, quiet spot amongst the ride paddies

You will missed the hotel if you arrives during the nite as there is Enough Bright Lightings Signage at the entrance of Hotel.

The staff were lovely and helpful, especially Joy. There were snacks, coffee and laundry available as well as as much water as you want. Great location close to the gorge and only a short walk or cycle to Xincheng ships and restaurants.

Hard to find food around even at 6pm. Restaurants showed on google map are either no longer doing business, or the restaurants closed early any time they like.

Very clean, near train station, and comfortable bed. Very spacious room. But watch out of mosquitos outside in this area.

No restaurant around after 6 p.m. (fortunately enough, the hotel offers free instant noodles).

Large room, super clean, and quiet. An extra point for the wonderful mountain view! Free instant noodles in the evening.

Our room was very clean and spacious. They have a big parking space and a nice garden. The view from the window is pretty awesome! The atmosphere is like being in a nice family house in southeast Asia.

The hotel was very quiet when we stayed. Good size room. Free use of the washing machine. Pay (minimal) for the dryer. A bit of a walk to find somewhere to eat. The onsite restaurant was closed No problem with bike storage.

It felt odd that we had to take off shoes before entering the hotel reception area, also a strange message in the room asking us to keep the floor towel separate from the other towels. We understand that it is for hygiene reasons but it comes across as OCD.

It was a short walk to the train station. Everything we needed was provided and the staff were very nice. Decor was interesting and colorful. Lovely little hotel cat! We stayed here the night of the Hualien earthquake and despite this the staff carried on with a smile. We were only here as trains were cancelled.

The location is about 10 minutes walk from train station. There is no restaurant nearby. If you don’t have car you need to walk more than 10 minutes to find restaurants (almost all of them street food). Breakfast not provided but you can have free instant noodles. Closest breakfast place is 12-15 mins away. After we finished breakfast and walked back to hotel, we found out you can order by phone and the shop will deliver for free. It would be nice if the lady who checked us in told us about this. There is noise from pass by trucks occasionally.
