Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Arab EmiratesI guess most bathrooms in Taiwan are the same, no bidet. But I knew that coming in so I brought my own portable one.
Very close to walking distance to the Ximending night market. Close to many restaurants and shops. Convenience stores across the street. Value for money

IndonesiaThe room was a bit smaller than I expected. The carpet smells a bit musty, which I think because the door couldn't be closed perfectly that the water leaks to the carpet a bit. But overall, since it's a budget hotel, and a friend who lives in Taipei said I got a good price, I must feel content.
I like that the location is just within walking distance to the Ximen Station, restaurants, and cafes. The water pressure is really strong, and the wifi is decent.

Good place for all tourists who want a good price and great location. Many backpackers and tourists stay here. The staffs is very nice and friendly. You can ask for help everything from the staffs. You might use the google translate in Chinese for a little help. However, overall I love this place.

ItalyNothing really for that price level. They don't provide toiletries but you can ask for some of them. They do provide towels. The check-out time is 11 am, which is pretty standard in Taipei. The rooms are dark and moldy, but that is extremely common in Taiwan: people seem to relish the lack of sunlight. Windows are mercilessly covered with black panels or curtains.
The room (205) was a bit dark and moldy, but clean and spacious enough. The wifi was fine. The bed was comfortable. There was a desk where I could work at my laptop. The shower worked well and it was separated from the rest of the bathroom, so it didn't pour water all over the bathroom floor, as it is often the case in taiwanese hotels. The AC works well enough. The area is not far from some of the main attractions of Taipei, and there are many cafes and restaurants nearby.

Singapore- the check in time is strictly at 4pm so dont bother to ask for early check in..even if 10 groups are lining up for check in they will only start at exactly 4pm so better go and queue before you get in so late. - they dont clean the room unless ypu call in the morning . if u call and ask to throw the rubbish, they will just literaly throw it without vaccuming the floor and fixing the beds. - the hotel lacks manpower only 1 person in the lobby and i think only 1 cleaner for the whole building.
-About 5min walk to ximen station and away from the super busy ximending area - good enough value for money for the price u pay - we stayed at room 708 and the aircon was super cold - water pressure was also strong - slippers, shampoo, shower gel provided in the room but must ask for tootbrush, comb, shower cap if u need them

BelgiumThe room I got did not have any window, although this is a rather common occurrence in Taiwan.
The hotel is located in the middle of a very lively neighborhood full of shops and restaurants and very close to an MRT station, which makes it easy to get to Taipei Central Station quickly. Last but not least, I got big discounts from this hotel, mainly because I booked my rooms from my mobile phone instead of on the booking.com website.

PhilippinesNone so far. It was a good place to stay.
It was just a few mins walk to the Ximending MRT Station and Night Market. Everything was super accessible. There’s a watsons and 7/11 nearby. Communication with staff is easy in app. Our roon was spacious and comfy enough for 3 people. You get your own electric kettle. there’s instant coffee and tea, also a few bottles of water provided and we can store food in the mini fridge.

United StatesAll of the linens, from the towels to the sheets, had a slight mildew smell. Like they are not regularly dried properly. Nobody was super loud while I was there but the walls are def not sound proof.
I really liked this simple room. It has a window which I found rare and seemed like a luxury. The bed was comfortable and I had privacy. The shower pressure was great.

PhilippinesRoom is small and it should be city view but roof view instead. There were molds in the bathroom and one male staff (night shifter) was not friendly as if he did not want to be bothered.
It's quite close to Ximen MRT station and Ximending Night Market. Family Mart and 7- Eleven are everywhere.

United StatesThe bed was on a platform in my room which took away floor space and made the room feel a little smaller. It looked nice though.
Great location in the heart of Ximen. I like that the staff doesn't clean every day, it feels safer and more private.

BelgiumHonestly I was planning on giving a far better score until this girl started screaming day and night. Even the earplugs were not enough. The walls are thin, we can hear low voice conversations that happen in other rooms. So her whoopee were shared with everyone. The staff heard her because they were cleaning a room at the same time, yet didn’t say anything… next time knock at the door plz
Not luxurious but Clean. Cheaper than some dorms so I was afraid of hygiene but it was clean, no bedbugs. The best was the location.

PhilippinesThe check in time like most hotels in Taipei is quite late. So you really have to time your arrival to maximize your stay since it's close to half the day before you are able to checkin. Good thing that they allow to leave your luggages in the front desk areas so you can still roam around.
The hotel is clean and the room is big enough. The staff in the front desk were also nice and accommodating. The place is just a few min walk to Ximending Market. There are nearby stores like locale restos and 7/11s so it's convenient to buy food and the like. It's also easy to get around most places
