We like everything about Banyan. The breakfast was excellent and the friendly staff that will goes out there way to help. Location is convenient to the MRT train station and also to near to National Cheng Kung University and the Confucius Temple.

Staff were a little too attentive at the breakfast. Felt our every move was being watched and sometimes barely, or not finished before plate was quickly removed. Perhaps too many waitresses patrolling, but only doing what they have been asked to do. Would prefer a more relaxed and friendly approach.

Fantastic lobby and very attentive staff, beautiful and very clean room with comfortable bed, quiet room, and bath. Very nice extensive breakfast in lovely surroundings.

Super clean and very new building, highly recommend this hotel to everyone who comes to Tainan. They also have free washing machine and dryer for you to wash your clothes (there’s timing for it).

No bottled water provided (due to eco friendly hotel). You have to fetch your water from the dispenser on the same floor. Amenities could be provided upon request.

Concierge very helpful helping us with taking our luggages from the taxi and to the room. Also to the taxi boot when checking out. Very Clean and modern facilities. Toilet with bidet. Comfortable bed.

The room is a little too small for 2 Queen size bed, to accommodw 4 adults. Breakfast is divided into 3 sessions and guests have to choose the session they want, which I think is not reasonable. Other than that, breakfast spread was ok.

Minor stuff: the bath mat was a bit frayed, the bathroom design meant the water filled the entire floor when showering, my eggs benedict was cold by the time it arrived, and the "Alexa" type thing in the room was rubbish.

This is a top-class hotel; relatively expensive but worth it IMHO. Located near Tainan central station. The bed was large and comfortable. Good-sized rooms and bathrooms (shower + bath). Very nice and varied breakfast. Friendly staff. Small gym and roof-top pool (didn't use as it was closed due to typhoon!). All in all a very pleasant place to hole up!

Tainan was one of the highlights of our tour to Taiwan. The Grand Baynan hotel served us a a great base from where to explore this beautiful and historic city. Some of the hotel's highlights were its location near the railway station (for regular trains) and some major temples and museums, the attentive and professional staff - especially at the reception - and the free laundry service that were very helpful and appreciated

Conveniently located. The room was very nice. The pool on the roof allows a swim in the evening. I would go there again. We didn't have breakfast, I can say nothing about that.

The rooftop pool was disappointing. There are only 6 sun loungers, and they looked quite old / bit mouldy around the base. The pool is also not very deep - I kept touching the bottom with my knees when trying to swim. It's fine for a dip but not for much more.

The room was perfect - loads of space, plenty of room to put my bags and I loved having the espresso machine. It was also a treat to have a bath.
