The public bath the hotel is small, but the in-room tubs are a nice touch. Whole area smells slightly of sulphur, but this is unavoidable.

Right in Beitou, though even short walks can be tiring given how hilly it is.

Rooms should provide hangers instead of wardrobes where clothes have to be folded. There is no place to air dry jackets that are damp from rain. Also, Water House can consider offering dinner for guests who have just finished with the hot spring and do not wish to step out of the hotel for dinner.

I loved the Western breakfast. There is a good assortment of food on the plate. The staff is helpful and very polite. Also, the hot springs is conveniently available at the hotel whenever you feel like having a dip.

The staff were very hard working. Despite the language barrier, we managed to communicate and sort everything out. They were very accommodating.

The restaurant was closed for dinner. Official check in time is 6pm even though the staff let us check in at 4.30pm. I wish that the official check in time were 3pm.

Around hot spring area, it’s a bit boring and no instruction in English. The breakfast set is as same as every morning.

The design is nice. Room is a bit small but has in-room hot spring bath which is very private and convenient.

* I expected this from reading other reviews, but it felt like the walls between the rooms were thin, and I felt pressured to watch TV or speak at a low volume. I could hear conversation in the neighboring rooms and the sound of the tub filling and draining in neighboring rooms. * I wish the Chinese breakfast came with fruit, like the Western breakfast. * Since check-in is relatively late (6PM), it would have been nice for check-out to be later so we could enjoy the room longer.

* Location: Great! About a ten-minute walk from the Xinbeitou station and easy to find. Easy to walk to Beitou's attractions like the Hot Springs Museum or the library. * Private bathtub was luxurious and beautiful and clean. It didn't take too long to fill up and it was so relaxing. * Bed was comfy and room was clean and had enough space. * Breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

A bit difficult to communicate unless you're chinese speaker. Need to ask for women public bath wristband to access.

Hotel is 10-min walk from Xin-Beitou Station. Being of slight distance from town centre allows you to enjoy quiet atmosphere outside the hotel. It has limited parking slots. The room is minimalistic, clean & comfortable. It has private hot spring tub. There is also gender-segregated public bath which also opens for day guests.

No room service unless requested by staff, which lead to some small hiccups from the language barrier. Maybe signs to hang on doors would be better? There was not a lot of sound insulation I assume from how old most buildings are in the area. Usually other guests are considerate, but not all!

The hotel room was lovely and clean, minus a few bits of fluff underneath the desk. I loved the tatami mat and it felt modern. It was a good size for me as a solo traveller. The staff were really friendly though I struggled a bit with the language barrier. Thank you to the patient staff that bared with me and Google translate during my stay! The free entry to the public bathhouse was lovely as well.

Would be perfect if check-in timing could be at 3 or 4pm instead of 6pm so that we can enjoy more of the facilities.

The breakfast was very good. The Water House is a haven of peace and relaxation! The staff were really nice.

The sound insulation between rooms are quite bad. We could hear sound from the corridor/other rooms. We could hear the next door shower running very clearly in the morning. Western breakfast was basic, Chinese style breakfast was probably better. Overall experience was good but I feel it is slightly overpriced.

The hotel room has a very minimalist design, but with all amenities in place. The lighting was done very well, not overly bright but enough to be functional. The bathtub in the room was spacious and the water filled up very fast. We had an excellent view of the streets too.

It's clean, comfortable and modern.. 2 breakfasts are provided per room in either Western or Eastern style. Both were delicious and substantial for an average appetite. The location is excellent and is immediately next to the park and hiking trails. The hotspring pools can be your large private relaxing space when it is not crowded.

The only trouble is the noisy fire alarm in the morning of Sep. 27. It's really troublesome to the guests.
