Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe hotel is located in a tall building with many businesses, there's only 2 elevators, so be patience for the elevators. There's one washing machine and one drying machine, so don't do laundry if only necessary.
The location is close to the Taipei Station, there are plenty of eateries nearby, as well as convenient stores. Room space is plenty.

United StatesThe room was too small for the 2 beds that were there. There was no place to walk inside. There was no place for luggage. I didn't like that the APause Inn didn't have a 24-hour front desk. The sink for washing up was in the room by the entrance door and not with the shower and toilet. Nice toilet and shower. The rooms were probably offices before the remodel. The 8th floor where I stayed reminds me of dormitory rooms. The room was very stuffy until I opened the window. The room did have A/C that worked and a dehumidifier. The room had a small refrigerator next to the sink and 2 bottles of water. Not very fancy. But ,I was there for only 1 night . I was there to sleep . The room was clean. This room was About$ 84.00 dollars for the night. The twin bed was comfortable. Location was my priority. No breakfast ,unless you buy at McDonald's.
I like the location of the APause Inn. It is across the street from Main station Taipei. But what you really need to know is that this hotel is located in The Regal International Business building on the 5th and 8th floors. There are 3 different hotels in this building on different floors. If you want to get to this hotel without problem s . You need to exit Z 2 from the Main station Taipei. That exit will put you the closest to the APause Inn. Walk to the closest corner and look for McDonald's. The Regal International Business building has a McDonald's restaurant at the ground/ Street level. Cross the street and walk towards the McDonald's. The entrance to the office building is next door to McDonald's.. The name APause Inn.was inside the lobby of the Office building. Yes it can be very difficult to find. Because,I didn't expect a hotel to be inside an office building. This is new to me. This information should be given out to people who book their accommodations . They do not have a 24 hour front desk. The checkin ends at 23:00. We arrived at 22:50 . Check-in was smooth but I now see the advantage of a 24 hour front desk. The APause Inn has location and more Locaton. The Hop on Hop off bus leaves from Main Station Taipei M4 so we were in perfect shape for our day activities.

TaiwanThe AC was super loud but weirdly almost worked as white noise and buffered everything else. I could hear what show our neighbor was watching when the AC was off. More shelving space would be nice too.

PhilippinesWhat I didn't like is that it's not totally clean. There are some trash left in the shower (some plactic wrappers/containers) and the bathroom floor still has hairs on it.
The location of the hotel was great it's near all the transportation you'd need. TRA, HSR and Bus Station. It's just a few steps from the TRA station and you can also use the underground passage that directly leads to the train station. The room is small and a tight fit with the bed and the bathroom, but the facilities are good.

United StatesI rented a room for two and there were exactly 3 hangers and a wall hook! Room is quite small so there won't be a desk for prolonged computer work and hardly any room for open two suitcases.
Room is clean but very small. Location is super convenient as there is Sushiro in the 2nd floor and McDonalds on the ground level, so you won't have to brave the oppressively humid summer heat, or the messy rainy weather if you do not want to!

Hong KongThe toilet is very small and toilet bowl is fairly close to door, might be very inconvenient for tall people. Drainage system not working properly, however hotel staff was able to clean it up after we made complain.
Great location, very near to Taipei main station, 3 minutes walking distance from Z2 exit. Although the room is small but they look clean and bright. Hotel staff that helped us checked in is amiable.

AustraliaTiny rooms which made it difficult navigating around the room- 3 of us shared a triple room.
Excellent location- short walk from Taipei Main Station, which is 40min away from Taoyuan airport by limited express. Toilet with built in bidet (Japanese style) a boon. Soundproofing was also very good. Surrounding neighbourhood has numerous small stalls selling local eats & convenience stores. Busy main street close by, so it didn’t take long to flag down a passing taxi.
