The showers were lined up in the late night. 4 showers seems a bit crowded for the whole floor backpackers.

Lobby and the terrace design were awesome! The kitchen offers nice coffee to refresh the morning.

Amazing hostel - super clean, new, spacious, good storage space, excellent free coffee. Not very social for a solo traveler, which seems to be the norm in Taiwan. I ended up extending my stay; I would definitely stay here again.

The exterior is quite old and the location is not the most central.

Stayed in a 12-bed hostel room and it's the biggest hostel room I've been to, with sufficient floor space to move around and open our luggages. The shower cubicles though few, were thoughtfully designed with dry and wet area separations. There is also a vanity table with chairs, hairdryer and hair serum. The lounge and patio was very cosy and a good place for hotel and hostel guests to hang out at, even till late at night. UIJ also provides walking tours for their guests and outsiders (at a slightly higher price). A short walk through the alley will bring you a a street of food and BBT options. Perfect place to stay especially for first-timers to Tainan!

Room was comfortable, spacious and well-designed. Love the leather slippers and the toiletries provided, and even though hotels in Taiwan no longer provide disposables for free, they were very kind to provide a voucher should we need to purchase some. Service was also impeccable, and hotel was located in walking distance to many good food and attractions. Will definitely come back next time I’m in Tainan!

We stayed in a hotel room and loved the location and amenities. It's centrally located and close to a local market, which made getting breakfast and other meals easy. The hotel design is industrial, very stylish. I especially loved the communal floor on L3 with lounges, a full-sized kitchen and outdoor veranda spanning the entire floor. My room was large and comfortable, and the staff provided a magazine at check-in for travel inspiration, which was a nice touch.

it was a cubicle but I didn't have cubicle feeling. It was like a little "house." The "ceiling" was higher than I expected.
