Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThere are some critters, like gekko and insects but that’s okay. It’s nature :)
The most beautiful location on a mountain overlooking the rice fields. Nice room. The staff is really nice and helpful. The breakfast was delicious! We even saw muntjac (small deer) walking around at the accommodation :) Because it’s a bit outside of Chishang it’s nice if you have your own car/bike. Bicycle rental is close by.

United StatesBugs! Lizards! Birds! Other wild animals of the rainforest! Situated on a hillside, this B&B is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for an escape from Taiwan's bustling cities. The main guest quarters featured a semi outdoor shared kitchen with a covered patio that includes ample sitting space, with a expansive lawn overlooking the serene farmland of Chishang and the dramatic Central Mountain Range beyond. The property also includes many short trails that lead to other scenic overlooks. Our hosts were easy to reach ahead of time, and were extremely accommodating for those with dietary restrictions. Breakfast was served family style, with many Taiwanese staples being served. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had newly renovated bathrooms. Bugs and flies are kept at bay with incense and a well fed army of house geckos that sing everyone to sleep at night with their chirps and barks. For dining options, the farmstay is a very short drive to Chishang village (about 5 minutes), and the hosts were extremely helpful with dining recommendations. A must stay if you are touring Taiwan's beautiful east coast.

United States1. Would have been nice if the room had a minifridge 2. There were some tiny spiders in the room, but given the location outside the city and in the forest it is comoletely understandable. Definity still 100% worth it for the view.
1. The view from the top of the mountain on the property was spectacular. Definitely the best view you can get of the city 2. The free breakfast had a lot of options and we both really enjoyed it 3. The property was very peaceful, great place to just listen to the sounds of the forest and see the wildlife 4. The host was extremely helpful and accomodating. He provided directions to a bike rental location and places to eat. 5. The shower was very big 6. Parking was easy and provided.

TaiwanWhat an amazing property this B&B is located on! Apparently the owner owns the entire mountain and there are many walking paths around the property with spectacular views of Chi Shang. The owner is extremely hospitable to people and dogs. It definitely earns its excellent reputation.

SingaporeAlthough the place was meant to make you experience living in the original state of village life, the toilets and shower could have been renovated and made modern for the comfort of modern travelers.
Mr Lai was friendly and warm. He was there when we arrived at this secluded place. The breakfast was simple but good, cooked personally by Lai's parents. They were also very friendly and hospitable.
