Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenIf you don't have a car, it's a 25 min walk to the center, which worked fine for us.
A fantastic hot springs hotel! The room and beds were excellent, but the highlight was definitely the private hot springs tub. The included breakfast was also excellent. The front desk person (maybe the owner?) was very helpful as well.

GermanyThe hot spring tub in the room is nice but our highlight was the outdoor (common) hot spring, where one can switch between hot water and cold swimming pool. Perfect to relax after a day of cycling! The host was also very friendly.

AustraliaI was glad the swimming pool was accessible during our stay, however it does say to only use between evening hours which I find strange. The 4pm check-in time was quite late and we were thankful a staff member had arrived earlier than this and we were able to check-in at approx. 3:30pm (as we were just waiting in the car park area from 3pm)
Staff were wonderfully welcoming and informative; swimming pool; hotspring bath; large and comfortable room; included breakfast; amenities; clean and quiet; robes and slippers

JapanA luxurious Japanese styled room with a private hot spring bath. It was the ultimate way to relax after a long day of biking. This was our favorite stay during our time in Taiwan by far. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast provided was delicious, there is a pool, and a beautiful courtyard to lounge in. Looking forward to returning to this little slice of paradise away from the hustle and bustle.

SingaporeThe location might not be very convenient if you are not driving. Didn't really see any public transport nearby, but I can't be sure since we drove there.
The rooms were big and comfortable. The hotspring tub in the room was well laid out and hotspring water was really therapeutic. I specially woke up early the next day to have another soak before checkout. Staff explained how to use the hotspring facilities upon checkin, and also explained each breakfast item patiently. The breakfast was superb, prepared with locally sourced ingredients. The milk mantou was the best I ever tasted. Highly recommend!

AustraliaThere are no restaurants surrounding the property. Would be better to have dinner in the township, which is about 5mins drive away first then settling in for the night.
Large room with modern and nice furnishings. Onsen in the room in a big plus after a long day of walking. Freshly made breakfast by the owner was nutritious.

This is a boutique hotel located within 10 mins driving distance from the train station; if not, the hotel provides free shuttle service from the station to their hotel. The facility is well maintained and clean. The hot-spring is very comfortable. The room is spacious. The breakfast is delicious made with fresh local ingredients. The owner is very friendly. I’m definitely want to visit again.

SingaporeLocation requires a short 10 min taxi ride from the train station/main town area and there's nothing else around the hotel that you can walk to, but it's not an issue if you drive as there is lots of parking on site.
New hotel with very spacious room, clean layout and facilities. Nice tea set with snacks and lounge area to relax after soaking and bed is large. Yukata robe also provided by hotel. Hot spring pool in bathroom is large enough to lie down + float in and fills very quickly - take note that water temperature is different depending on the time. Small bench in pool and shower area similar to the type found in Japanese onsens. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good, lots of small dishes including popular food from the Ruisui/Hualien region. Staff are warm and explain about the hotel in detail and are very helpful to call you a cab if needed. There is an outdoor hot spring if for some reason you don't want to have your own personal soak and a swimming pool which I think will be nice in summer.

Very new, room is huge, private hotspring is so huge you can swim in it (kinda). Owner has an interesting story regarding her property. Extreme value for money - or maybe early post covid price?

TaiwanThe price is a bit high. The public hot spring is not used frequently; therefore, you need to ask the clients to fill the pool first.

TaiwanThe light is too dim even if you trun on all the lights in the room. But it's not a big deal actually.
The room is quite specious and there's an amazing hot spring in every room. Also, the bed is super comfortable! So you can just chill in the room all day and enjoy the hot spring. BTW, it's really nice to see the host always tries to have a short but friendly chat with every guests. Highly recommend :)
